Sorry to hear that man. What are you doing to relieve the time? Apart from KvR of course

Trying too do music but I'm on ALOT of pain med's and find my ability to concentrate for long periods greatly diminished at the moment.
Even reading a book is a huge effort.
So I flit between books , kvr and my laptop on the other side of the room which is currently chigging out a 64 bar arrangement I'm working on as I type.
So I have lots of unfinished work saved currently I hope to polish off once I recover from surgery.

I dunno if you think it's a good idea... but why not record yourself talking. Concentrate on the things you're experiencing while you're ill, include thoughts and things.
Then later after surgery, come back to it. Use it for a song perhaps?

Hey FaX
Sorry dude, my point was that there are so many ppl here who do (and were) get nasty. Perhaps we need a tonge in cheek smiley.
And thanks so much for recommending and supporting Cosmo 201. Those few days when it was a hot(ish) topic were nice for my ego.
Sorry to hear that you are in a bad way. I sleep badly so I know how easy it is to go square when you are sleep deprived. Hope your health improves.
Hey if you are in a sound designing mood why not make a bank for Cosmo 201. I'd be happy to host it.

I seem to like the GUI and the possibility of analysing audio material (does it work with realtime input?). But do you think 2 LFOs are enough? Even being no synth expert at all, I think more LFOs would do good.

With all envelopes (pitch, amp, filter) being "loopable", I don't feel it's much of an issue.Sascha Franck wrote:I seem to like the GUI and the possibility of analysing audio material (does it work with realtime input?). Ok, maybe not.pethu wrote: With all envelopes (pitch, amp, filter) being "loopable", I don't feel it's much of an issue.
I just found myself almost running out of LFOs inside Zebra 2, even if it's got plenty of them (plus loopable multipoint EGs and the likes).

Sure...fritzman wrote: Sascha "the modulator" Franck!![]()
Just think about it: One LFO for your basic "ModWheel starts pitch LFO" thing, one to slowly modulate panning, the various multistage envelopes allready being used up for rhythmic madness.
Now what about some ultra slow LFO slightly altering cutoff to give your patch a bit more of livelyness?
Really nothing all *that* esoteric.
But yes, I love modulations indeed.

When it comes to Spectra, though, part of the basic concept is that you build evolving or "living" by morphing separate harmonies - each of which is a complete sound of its own - and the harmony "timeline" can ALSO be looped! So you can go quite a long way introducing subtle or radical shifts to the sound without even touching the envelopes, "analog" filter section, or the LFOs...
