This playlist clips are nice for tidying up an old project but still awkward and confusing as the project now splits between patterns and clips and they behave a lot different.
Man, that kind of system would be AWESOME! Hope Gol&Co listens.

Cheers!

Because registered users have paid for the privilege. This is in Beta, so it's not for general release. In the past registered users have complained that they should see things first. So JMC listened. From now on registered users will get to play with beta versions of the next release several months prior to the general public.

I'm way behind here. In fact I'm really still at my best with FL 5.X. This is moving a little too damn fast for me. I haven't even learned to use FPC or Directwave properly, and now there's Edison and more, new filters, Sytrus is growing a beard, God knows how many new workflow tidbits... I'm just too freakin' short on time. Who will boohoo with me? :(

fl 5  oh but it is just prehistoric age there is a lot of function i couldn't live without like for example in the playlist
as i always start to create a song on the fisrt pattern, to see how everything work together it was so painingfull after that ,to copy and paste all the instruments in different pattern and copy and past the automations i had made,
but now you just have to click on a button(since version 6 i think i can not remmeber as it seems far now ) "split by channel "and every instruments have its own channel in the playlist
the same goes with the ability to flatten selected pattern everything goes more quickly at each release
:D

Smoke and mirrors... You still can't edit midi in the play list. Visual pleasing- yes. Fuctional- no.
well not exactly true, since now just by clicking on the pattern in the playlist you go to the piano roll and can edit the midi pattern. easy.

it would be cool to see the feature/option..
to save a project into a individual folder
so that one can drop the associated *.wav files
within that folder etc.

Post

but that can already be done, since version 4 at least...just save the project as zipped loop file.

I'll boohoo with you. I haven't downloaded a single beta... ever.

Call me when FL7 comes out. Then I'll see about updating. :hihi:

I'm with you guys

I still haven't even figured out how to use the Event Editor -- the last time I tried to use it to control a midi channel program change it was like trying to use a 10 pound sledge hammer to kill a fly -- bloody useless AFAIAC. :hihi:

And why in the world anyone would choose to use Edison over, say, Audition, or their normal audio editor beats me.

But there's us and then there's a zillion cats wot get all pissy if Gol doesn't release a new version every week. He's in a no-win spot.

Cheers,
