Yes ... you can. It is NO problem to sample it yourself and use those samples in your own work - that is 'fair usage' because you *own* the XP30. The problem is your original intention of making those samples available on the internet - sharing Roland's IP with the wider world that hasn't rewarded Roland for their investment in the XP30 in other words. THAT'S the problem here and would (if Roland discovered it) have their lawyers (potentially) breathing down your neck big time for any number of reasons - re-distribution of their copyrighted samples/recordings and/or exploitation of their trademark, etc!!!
I admire your altruism and generosity for wanting to share your samples (as I do many others) but you have to be VERY careful these days - it can (potentially) land you in no end of trouble and worries.
You were wise to withdraw them from public plundering ... could/would be trouble if Roland found out! But now you're safe.
