damn it man i love all the gforce instruments, they are an absolute necessity in my music ... I look no where else, with very few exceptions- fm7, sq8l, and cobalt being the foremost.

I am behind 2 instruments (i want oddity and vsm still) and whenever they show this kind of stuff, it makes me want to catch up SO BADLY.

Yeah I like their stuff a lot. I have everything they make except M-Tron cause I'm going to wait for M-Tron Pro. I think they make really great synths but I was REALLY disappointed when I got a new computer and had to pay something like $30 each for updates so that the plugins would run on my Intel Mac. I thought that was crap to have to pay more for those updates but what can you do?

Same deal here, but then again I bought M-Tron a few years ago, so I guess I missed the cutoff window for free updates. Still...kinda shitty. But then again, I love Gforce's stuff. M-Tron was fan-f**king-tastic (If I had to pick only one VST, it would be M-Tron) and VSM was stellar as well.

Considering how VSM was announced at Winter NAMM 07 and didn't come out until...October or November of 07, I'm thinking it will be a similar arrival date for M-Tron Pro, since it was announced at Winter NAMM 08. Yes, it still sucks to have to wait that long, but think of it this way: (Probably) Not too much longer now!

And considering the $140-150 price tag I've seen for it at Sweetwater and Florida Music (which I thought would be TWICE that), I'm still pretty happy.

Yep.

If you read carefully the Imposcar manual, you can see that many years of development were necessary to get the final version.

And then ImpOscar didnt have a single update

for many years (beside of compliance to AU format) and is still after all these years one of the best sounding more_than_VA synths (And even in the strict VA area btw). It just doesn't need one.

Not saying here that synths that get an update every week doesn't worth it. And there's for sure a difference between updates that bring "something else" than bug fixes on the table and ... other updates.

Some companies have different point of views on what is indeed a V 1.0 product, that's all. And I quite like Gforce's way of seeing it. So I'll say that the wait will probably well worth it for those who are after this kind of keyboards.

Like I often say Stradivarius were never updated ......

Where did that originate? I've done web searches and all I see is people on forums saying "I'm waiting for the Gforce S.O.B." But nothing that appears to substantiate that it was ever a real project of theirs.
