Could anyone help?
try the DSP and Plug-in Development forum perhaps?

OK, so I had some more time to play with Aradazmaximizer 5, and I'm a little concerned:

First off, does it sound a bit different than before? I'm getting that distortion/crackling when I lower the input level. It's too bad, because at high settings, it makes the most perfect, pumping dance compressor sounds, but the distortion is kind of bad.

Second, what happened to the release control? Doesn't that help resolve distorion at high levels?

Thanks!

Yeah too bad to me too. Aradaz said it's working on it:
aradaz wrote:yup, input control act as a limiter with fixed release, honestly I didnt know what should I named "that". I'm still working on this, I want to make an auto release for it, so please be patient guys, wish me luck..

:scared: sad, soooo sad....
It's not what you use, it's how you use it...

Barricade? Is new version?

Post

OT. probably he means the barricade pro demo? ime it doesn't output as massive rms as some others, but it sounds very big. probably best if you put some other limiter after it to get really loud and big.

Yeah, I've found it to be almost better as a tracking compressor, sounded great on drums. But perhaps it's a matter of getting to know the unconventional controls.

I too was confused by the unusual knobs at first ..
Now that i'm a lil more accustomed (and reading the new pdf help),it seems really more suitable as a final touch, kinda master-tool. But I like the concept of rms-limiter&K-meters and xcorrelation limiter. It works fine as well as softclip-envelope limiter. [/End OT :hihi:]
