Hmmm,

I guess I'm the only one so far that hasn't been blown away by this plugin.

For a freebie its good!, but I've just been playing around with it on a full mix, a vocal and a drum loop and so far it's not really doing anything to make me want to switch to this from another compressor and/or limiter.

I dunno, something about the way it glues sounds together that just doesn't do it for me.

+10 here on that request. I recently switched to a Mac (partly to avoid Vista) and I dearly miss the TbT plugs (as well as the digitalfishphones).

@ Daniel.....

You've probably addressed this in the past already, but would you seriously consider porting your plugs over to OSX? The Mac camp is sorely lacking in good freeware plugs like yours. I'd even be willing to fork out some $$ for them. Used to use them all of the time in XP. Dang....
A bit OT, but aren't the digitalfishphones plugins available for Mac OSX? :?:
As far as I knew they are PPC only and not Universal Binary. I'll check again. Would be awesome if they were UB!

This thing is amazing on my (acoustic)drumbus. Gives Marquis (my go-to for drums) a run for the money.

There's nothing wrong with that.. some of the stuff I've tried it on sounded
like shite.

I think you have see it more as an effect to like it/or not.

Have you checked out the Stillwell audio stuff - It is absolute knockout IMHO!

Funny. Those have to be two of the most disappointing compressors I've ever heard here. (IMHO, of course).

Yeah but Stillwell's 1973 EQ is fabulous. Some seriously smooth top end. I've been demoing it for a week or so now and will be buying the license for it soon I think.

Yes, dig the EQ. Or wait: am I thinking of Vibe EQ? I think I liked them both. :D

That thing got a good analysis in another thread. It seemed to be just a typical non linear eq. Nothing wrong with it, but just the same as most other eqs.

Post

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Post

Sorry - I like all of Scotts' EQ and compression VSTs... Especially Vibe and Major Tom.

Well, I was only talking about the 1973 eq and I never said it sounded bad. :)
