i hope that th1 'll have the possibility to load a external impulse...
The best sounds imho comes from a nice combination of impulses.
Anypeople has professional impulses in database, for reamping in studio..
Imho the result is more realistic too.. my opinion!
The Wagner mk2 with 3 cabs in parallel can sound amazing. Big and giant sound.
I hope in a future option in this direction...
Also .. the plugs in the world made changes.. but only one thing remains the same :
the amazing style of Dimi

Mark Bass plugin is a product of Mark Bass.hibidy wrote:pfffft, I don't care about TH-1......
I WANT THE MARK BASS ONE DONE!
Sorry for the shout, but announcing software with no release date is annoying too.
I am not involved in any way with that product. You'll know more from MarkBass when it is released. People have seen it at Frankfurt and London shows running fine.
Best,

Does this view fear you less?sascha wrote:Yeah, it's really well rendered and looking pretty cool. Also, lots of innovation involved with the UI. Must be fun.
But I fear that there'd be so much eye candy and tweakability, that I personally would forget to *play* my axe actually ('erm...wait... how does this one sound...not bad... but... next one...hm...cool...wait... what about...17cm mic position...').
I'm still not that convinced by getting so many options for such a relatively simple job (1 amp, 3 cabs and 2 mics would be enough for me, considering all being top-notch and working well together). 'Overwhelmed' might be the word, but perhaps I'm getting old
If the sound flashes me, I'd perhaps vote for a 'TH-1 light'

This is the current Live view mode, but it will grow in the future... probably with a full-screen mode too...

Hey, that's cool
Although I wouldn't fiddle that much with different amps, therefore I'd get rid of 'amp choice' and put traditional amp controls on it, gain->tone stack->reverb->master. But I suppose the assignment is dynamic, eh?
As people say, 'size matters', but in this case... no. It's perfect this way. You shouldn't clutter it too much. When you're gigging, you've already got enough to look at and concentrate on. Adrenaline rush, you know... there you need simple, fool-proof things.Simone Coen wrote: This is the current Live view mode, but it will grow in the future... probably with a full-screen mode too...

That live mode is very cool indeed. And Sascha, earlier Simone said that ANY knob, switch, or whatever can be put on the bottom controls. So you don't have to have the amp choice. You can put whatever you want on those knobs.

You can EASILY assign any parameter or GROUP of parameters to a SMART CONTROL: each can be a knob or a switch.sascha wrote:

We'll have some easy 'startup' chains for people like you...
two or three pedals, one amp of choice with the proper cab and mic and a reverb/delay...
Based on that, building your own sound could really be a matter of tuning the SMART CONTROLS without even diving into the full interface.

Smells betterSimone Coen wrote: How does it feel?
'Feel' is something I'd claim from the amp & cab in terms of dynamics & playability. Apart from UI affairs, that's my major concern with all sims on the market by now (flat, lifeless, synthetic, no interaction between the stages). Now, come around with demos, pronto

The list is not finalized yet since we're still fine tuning some models and this might mean that some of them end up in the 1.1 (planned for the end of november). Better released later than fixed later.
Let me add:
even though I can publish a list of our model names, of course I can't mention anywhere publicly the kind of hardwares that we eventually got inspired by when working on TH1

Most of the hardware ampsim/MFX boxes have verbiage such as "inspired by Mesa Boogie...all trademarks property of their owners..."

Simply because:
- I am not an official rep of the company (I consult for them, I am not an employee)
- Those wordings are fine if you fully cite them and are backed by your lawyers (I can't ask a permit from my lawyer only to publish such a list here...)
- I don't want to market TH1 for the sound it can replicate or imitate (for better or worse) but for the sound it has.
Of course, you'd like to have a list in order to guess which kind of sounds you can get (and, in my experience, this is all you can get, since I haven't been able to replicate a sound on my Mesa amp from ANY amp sim I tried... but they all sound kind-of-mesa...): you'll get a list soon on overloud website... in the meantime, you can listen to demos and watch the video demo which might reveal something... even though you still have to make up the real names from the fantasy names.
Hope this explains why.
