Tried the first version demo today and was actually impressed.
I did experience high CPU usage, so I'm hoping that this new version will get it down to a usable level.
The dry input seemed to clip or crackle on peaks. Is this CPU related also?

The reverb mix control? I was not able to get the input vocal dry. With the mix knob all the way left it seemed to actually increase the reverb on the input.

That said I do like it!

I'm still working on the input-processing, sometimes the U/UV-detector starts to kick in with high volumes/values... that could result into crackles or something but normally this shouldn't happen. Have you tried lowering the input volume (host-wise)?

I should give the Reverb Mix a different label, "mix" is actually a bit irritating - when its turned hard left only the dry/lead vocal has full reverb, when pushed to the right the harmony has 100% reverb....
That said, i'm working on a manual these days that should answer all questions.

I have been playing around with it and while it sounds EPIC!!! it *kills* my PC. In all fairness, it's a three year old Core Duo, so I didn't expect a lot of performance anyway. But the plug-in itself is fantastic. I'll try the new version and see how's the CPU.

I give up...I can't get enchoir to do anything at all. Maybe I don't have it setup right...?

I have an audio track (Just a short, looping saxophone riff) routed to the audio input on enchoir. I have my midi keyboard routed to the enchoir midi input. While the looping audio passes into (and through) enchoir, playing notes on my keyboard does nothing.

If I press and hold keys with the "auto mute" selected, the sax audio drops out (and I get silence).

What am I doing wrong?

I'm using energyXT2 on a 2.5 Ghz, 1GB RAM, WinXP Pc. eXT is taking about 60% of my CPU.

When you play notes, does the processing LED flash?

yes, from the routing it looks correct. You just need to feed it with some audio and send some MIDI notes...

So do you have the CKi data files in C:\program files\enchoir?? (e.g.: opera.CKi)?

Not sure about EnergyXT, can't test it here - does anybody else have this problem with eXT?

As a matter of fact, I don't have the CKi data files.

I'm not at my home PC at the moment, but I received two files from you, Dennis, the first being the original version, and the second being an update. The second file was definitely a RAR'd file with just the .dll.

Should the first file I received have been an executable installer? I'm pretty sure it was another RAR file, but I don't remember what else was included in it.

I'll double check tonight when I get home to see what was in the first file - maybe I missed something there.

i updated the enchoir to v1.2:

-improved audio clarity a bit
-added a breath knob
-added a vibrato indicator LED (aftertouch)
-added a label to the reverb mix knob
