We really tried to focus on providing a very high quality tool with a lot of features and smooth sound at a much lower price than the rest of the channelstrips available currently, but unfortunately $79 is really the lowest we could possibly go considering the amount of time it took to design and code :( Possibly in the future we can try to develop smaller tools for cheaper prices too, but the future is fairly blurry in this market.

nah..the price is alright (i guess? din't try it.). i can process my tracks already, a channel strip is just more convenient. its not that poor can't get nice sounds if they can afford a computer :) (and i'm even partially poor by choice to save money during developement time of my product).
i'm afraid my software(at least not all) will not be for free either :hihi: .
maybe you'll buy one of my products. so i can give you your money back in exchange for your product
:D . my stuff will probably be a bit cheaper thought (at least for personal use).
i try to post some teasers here this month...man i'm bad at estimating developement time :?
