I've been using the 1.1 versions a little more, it feels so weird being able to get those sounds from plugins !

When you post something like that you've got to post the audio too.farfadetfarfelu wrote:I spent som time comparing the muffin rider to my "real" big muff pedal, a four transistor run of the mill reissue from a few years back.
Well it's just incredible how close they are in the overall sound.
i also owned several other big muffs in the past (black sovtek green sovtek, ram's head...) and your different version are great too.
However there is something that bugs me.
The VST version seem to work better when i feed them with signals peaking at around -20 db. When fed with higher signals, they just sound really overloaded and fall appart in the bass when playing chords.
With lower input signals, the vst muffin rider sounds solid/great, but then it seems to pack less gain than the real deal big muff when i max out the sustain knob.
Did someone else notice the same thing ?

Uh no you don't. Because the audio won't prove anything (it will only represent a certain use or misuse of the device) and it's much better to let everyone decide for themselves especially when a demo is available. When you post something like that you've got to post the audio too.
Okay, I dit it just to prove no audio is way better than this :

Sustain to the max
Tone at zero
Guitar into the soundcard, no amps no eq.

The Muffin rider chain is one of the most complex.
A new check to try and further fine tune it is planned.
Other distortions are planned too.
The current released batch contains three fuzz, two octave fuzz and one overdrive.
Next batch contains more overdrives/distortions for now.
So if you have ideas, any suggestion is welcome.

There will be a muffin rider 2.0 based on that new checkup with a real big muff.

Hi all, here is a preview of the next batch of FXs.
While the first series focused on fuzz and extreme distortions, this new series is oriented towards some classical or rare distortions and overdrives.
They have been carefully build from the schematics to respect the architecture and get every step right, and then fine tuned with sound analysis of the hardware stompboxes to get as close as possible to a 100% match.
I'll try and youtube a few video with A/B comparisons to let you judge it by yourself

Incredible!!! I've got the first bundle and absolutely cannot wait for these. By the way, what is the Baboon modeled after? The rest are obvious but I can't figure that one out.

He he, thanks guys!
I hope they will be up to your expectations
Here is a little file featuring Cream Tube and a Real TS808 one after the other :
scream_test.mp3
The sound is the dry output from the FXs without any cab nor EQ.

It is a rather rare pedal, but I was lucky enough to know someone who had a real one.
