i had the same prob after changing audio settings too .
I got it working tho, try changing back to the setting you had before it went haywire using the asio/audio panel in ableton then try Amplitube again.
Also my default is 48000 sample rate and it doesn't seem to like that so i resorted to 44100. i'm on xp service pack 2

I downloaded the demo, but it won't install! It is asking me for Quicktime...sheesh...I hate to have to install that piece of apple crap on my machine.

It's true, but you can open up a second instance if you really want to. I've done some cool things this way but it's very (post cab fuzz can be so synthy) but the truth is you're better off with a lighter weight plug in post Amplitube. If you're looking for chorus I really like Audio Damage's Vapor and all the Uhbik's are fantastic.

Quicktime is for the stand alone only.

In Amplitube 3 you can go into the preferences and choose either "spring" or "digital" for a global reverb choice. Frankly still feel like the reverb on all the models (Fender and otherwise) go from nothing to to much by about 1.3. The digital isn't sproingy but I'll admit, I'm not even a fan of real spring reverbs for guitar. I'll almost always use a digital reverb in the rack or put Reflect after Amplitube if the guitar is a focal point in the mix.

Well, it seems to be a big in the installer. I want to install only the StandAlone version to demo, so I unchecked the "VST" and "RTAS" checkboxes, and I have an error on installation, and the product will not install.

Tested about 30 setups in linux, both standalone, and as a plugin with Reaper.
Works well as expected. All the IK products I have tried work in linux.
As for sound quality, the few dozen I played are really nice, showing off the
capabilities very well. After I found Fender was equal to, or better than Hendrix and Metal,
a surprise to me, at least, its nice to hear more fresh takes that make AV3 stand out as a separate high quality product.

And the gui is very nice on the eyes

After having played with AT3 for half an hours, I would call this an "evolution" rather than a "revolution".

It is like AT2 on steroids...with a face-lift

Very nice package overall.

Hmm.. IMHO this is silly. Why make some effects available only pre-amp and others only post-amp?
Of course fuzz after cab is rarey useful, but then chorus before, not after amplifier is IMHO ridiculous too.
Well, it seems I have to use two Amplitube instances. Would be great if IK made separate plugins of their FX (like they did with T-Racks 3).

You'll forgive me but the stomp that are available would indeed be put in front of any amp if it were real hardware. I not saying it wouldn't be cool to have a pre-post option, but I don't know of any of these stomps that would be placed post if you had a live setup. However, there are several rack FX that are like the ones you'd find in racks at a studio. I guess to me it all makes sense in that respect.

I guess it's personal taste, so not trying to be overly persuasive, just saying...

How about all of the flanger, chorus, and delay stomps modeled? I'd definitely run a memory-man through my fx loop were it worth a damn (the vintage Orange fx loops are useless)
I realize there are rack flangers, delays, and chorus's but it still seems an unnecessary limitation.

One of the main reasons I've preffered GR to Amplitube over the years... the GUI just makes more sense. Of course, that's all over with now. I'm officialy a convert and will be purchasing AT3 as soon as I recover from the $600.00 in upgrade/replacement tx's for my Orange.
