mvrasseli, George Orwell started the story, but the TV version (12 years in Spain, already ) had certainly more impact and has given an enormous push on Orwell's fame.
But, as always, I just try to do things with a little laugh/smile.
Having the experience of both worlds, the serious/Belgium and the smiling/Canary, I found out that being serious with a colourful smile makes things smoother.

D.H. Miltz, the owner of the instruments is a child and as you stated : toy-versions of the adult ones, so they fit the theme, I'd say.
Maybe to ad more weight to the arguments, you could take some pictures of your wounds, caused by the angry mother to get her child's toys back...

So many questions !
I think it's time to follow Scoops and get out of here for a while !

Shrikant, I've sent you 2 more packs !
1 filled with as-good-as-new second-hand smoke detectors and the other 1 with a heap of liquor (very old bottles - yek - imagine, 55 years old bourbon and 45 years old wine - Diogenes syndrome ? - I replaced them by some crates of fresh new beer ! - somebody has to do the dirty work).
Perfect stuff for the black-market over there.
I suggest to split 50/50 the costs and benefits this time, to avoid getting to much income and having to pay too much taxes !

Well, I had no idea what to expect, but this simply blew me away. I just wish it was longer. The 'toy' is well disgused by the rest.

it's that choppy computer like voice that comes about 1/3 through the piece.

rifftrax, Beginning of the End: This piece won me over. At first, it wasn't quite my thing, but as it played through, it just developed and developed. It's flat out beautiful.

beanpole, What Time Is Love: This one has a great, '60s vibe. It kind of reminds me of the Byrds in specific, or the 'Laurel Canyon Scene' in general; with a bit of early Pink Floyd or somesuch added in. I'd love to hear Ringo drumming to this. In short, great/cool song; maybe the drums/percussion could be expanded upon.

Farlukar, Islington: I don't know where 'Islington' is, but it sounds Lovecraftian. The music reflects that. Very well done! Yeah, this is great! Maybe add just a little more volume on the cymbals. ymmv In any event, rock on!

offthewall, My Lodging's On the Cold Ground: This piece conjures up beautiful milieus.

jenderton, dragonfodder: This is really cool. It's like totally abstract modern jazz. A melding of post-modern classical with sci-fi movie undertones. Amazing!

Excellent production, but (IMO) lacks musical direction and, truthfully, does not display a child instrument.

Typical 'mrblitz' track …. Weird guitar stuff and avante-garde production. Rather tasty and enjoyable noodling but could do without the incoherent vocal. The toy piano has obviously been 'stuck in' to satisfy the guidelines !!!

It may not be obvious from past voting patterns, but I am a huge Beanpole fan !! As a FFA song this is very appealing. In my book it ranks with some of the classics from Oddbod.
I'm not sure about the 'sampled recorder' and feel that the beany could have found something 'real' instead.

Excellent guitar rock … but I would like to know how much is real and how much sampled/sequenced, etc.
I 'WAS' going to say …. Another example of the 'child instrument' being rather non-specific, then I listened again and found that it did gel rather well ……. Could be a dark horse, here !

I have a few synths and sometimes mess about with the sequences and sound effects, and can see how this piece has been developed …. But feel that it goes nowhere.
Can't find any reference to child instrument.

Depends on your definition of "real" All guitar bits played by me, the clangy toy & drums are sequenced samples. All individual kick/snare/hat/etc. samples were meticulously put in their right place by me though, does that count as real?
