Looks and sounds like a plugin that I could get plenty of enjoyment and use out of
but I have just spent my spare cash this month on another VSTi (which I really love
). I think the price may be a little steep but I haven't tried out the plugin yet as I don't want to demo something that I know I can't afford and would probably be lusting after for the next couple of months. I have way too many VSTis at the moment anyway. But my main point is that I own all the Tone2 plugins which I bought directly from Tone2 via Shareit, so was rather disappointed to find that the only "special" was a time limited offer of a free BiFilter2 plugin. I know it's difficult to please all the people all of the time but I think Voxengo's system is the best:- a permanent discount based on the amount you have already spent with a developer plus the current amount in your shopping cart. But this may not be possible with Tone2's Shareit based system. Still, as I said, the plugin looks and sounds like it could be cracking plugin and I really appreciate it when developers take time to introduce new, innovative features that, at the end of the day, encourage other developers to up their game. Plus, from the little that I know about profit made by these guys and gals, I would imagine that they are doing this more for the love of it rather than for it's vast earning potential.
Windows 10. Asus X99-Pro i7 6950X 10 Core 3GHz (Overclocked to 3.5GHz). Corsair DDR4 64GB Vengeance LPX 2400MHz. RME RayDAT. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. UAD2 Quad+Octo. Reaper. A couple of plugins.

Not hard, but without a disincentive there are certain individuals who will happily do this multiple times over even for products that have fully functional demos - because second hand software doesn't devalue the same way as physical goods (nor does it have any of the other 'friction' of secondary markets for physical goods i.e. time & hassle of postage, loss, damage etc.), and because the new owner typically inherits all the same rights/benefits wrt technical support, upgrade deals etc. etc. One transfer isn't hard to do, but it all adds up.Which is exactly why i will not support any company that charges for licence transfers..don't care who they are, i mean how hard is to just swap details FFS Rolling Eyes
I think a lot of developers feel that if license transfer fees discourage that small minority of people from buying in the first place, that's not necessarily a bad thing. Even with the license transfer fee in place and the fully functional demo, we had a couple people buy Geist and then sell it immediately. As in, within 24 hours. Such a customer is not of any benefit to developers, why encourage it?
We now return to our scheduled programme... Congrats on the release Markus!

If i did like the gold from Filterbank 3 i would use that as a synth too.
Warmverb/Firebird+/bifilter and Gladiator are most beautyfull plugs on earth, why filterbank that ugly gold/brown?
anyway...loads very fast, arp swing and waveform vieuw in lfo are awesome, keyspresets are excellent, now check the rest Smile

I want to try it, but 90 mb on dial-up is too long. Obviously if I wanted to buy it, I would d/l that.

I like this synth, but I have some questions..
1. does it not support midi program changes? I've tried sending them from my midi controller, but it doesn't change presets..
2. the action synth presets, sound great, how exactly we're they made? they sound like different layers, one part had drums, and then a synth, is it possible for me to make similar layers with the presets within this synth or?
thanks
congrats on a nice synth

Well the more I play with it the more I like it. Great sound. But now that I've gone to the website 15 or 20 times, I'm starting to hate Tone2.
Can anyone with the full version comment on the WaveTable Oscillator type? It only has a single wavetable in the demo and the resynthesize button says demo only. So is the wavetable oscillator only for resynthesizing your own samples, or does it come with a selection already?
A couple minor potential bugs I've found already though:
1)The FM knob does not do anything at first when it starts from 0. If you krank it up slowly, you will hear no change until you let go of the knob and let go of the current key held and then press a new key. This is not how it behaves from any value other than 0 though. Starting from any other value, you can hear the fm changing while your holding a note and turning the knob (which is the correct behaviour of course). The best effect is to gradually pull up some fm that normally has none. If you had to make sure to always keep it at 1 or above, that would be quite annoying, so I'm guessing this is a bug.
2) The swing is a complete mess unfortunately. I don't even know what to say about it except that it really messes up the rhythm and doesn't do proper swing. It sounds like a bad humanize. I think something is buggy there too.
Otherwise, love it!

Share-it wants 280CAD for 199USD here in Canada... Not sure what planet that exchange rate is coming from, but it sure isn't the one I'm living on...bitfreak8 wrote:It Sounds pretty good, but at €209 i'll have to pass. (what share-it wants from me, 1920SEK = about €209)

Share-it really can give you the feeling of being cheated
