(I like FL's bezier curve, intuitive envelope follower, ghost note, powerful piano roll tools,,,. It already has top notch stuffs in arrangement.) But I won't make it public because I don't want others to know a secret weapon.

I remember people asked for this years before Madeon yet all they got is standard blue face from gol. Most likely IL staff forced him to built this features inside before more damage is done.
I don't wanna implement stuff just to add a little checkbox in in a feature list, like I'm often asked (the one time I did.. loop recording.. does it really work?)Well there is one good thing in that. Since he is genius once when someone force him to add feature xy you can expect it to be not well done but great and even extended then what competition is offering.
Better have it now fully working than half-assed 2 years ago, no? Actually, you already had a live mode, using pattern blocks, since 2003! So it was already there, half-assed, & no one was using it.
(talking about it, it (the old live mode) is gone now. It won't take 2 days to get "it was the best feature, FL is worthless now without it" complains

I have used the original live mode and at the time thought it was excellant. When I first started using Fruityloops 3 I would get some patterns hit play and then tap the number pad to change them. Of course I was limited to only a few patterns. Finding out about the live modes got rid of that limitation to me, changing patterns with midi keyboard keys and changing mutes with the same was bliss. I have never used Ableton so cannot comment on its interpreation.
I am not going to complain though, life's too short. Any ways I have all my previous versions of FL and FL Studio so can always use older ways to working if needs be.
Have fun

Gotta hand it to you guys that stuff looks pretty tempting. This, live 9, and bitwig, will make this next year pretty interesting for performance.Image-Line wrote:FWIW: we are collecting the performance mode videos in this Playlist

Would be cool to see the ability to somehow use deckadance as well (even though I don't have any of the software)
no purchase until everything goes to usb 3.0 and all hosts are 64 bit!

Know what Fruityloops needs? Everything.
Know what everyone else needs? Hiking boots.
In all fairness, FL can use some kind of mixer track clone function like patterns have. Many times I have had to save a mixer track just to load it into another one. Hopefully ol blue face can't say no. And as long as the parameters stay the same, I am happy. Also, the parameter input shaping functions do not save with a mix track. Could you please fix this?

you can already do this easily by right clicking on mixer channel, going file - save as, but instead of clicking once on save as, you click and hold... and then drag! to the channel you want to have the same mixer parameters and vsts. pretty handy, this.camsr wrote: In all fairness, FL can use some kind of mixer track clone function like patterns have.
