I tried the demo today. This thing didn't do for me what the developer promised. The GUI gives some false info in the mouse overs.
Nuff said.

I agree. It looks like a really useful tool. Kind of like the new surf eq idea but with some even cooler features. The marketing copy really makes it sound cheap though. Marketing hype aside, if it does what it claims, I'd be happy to try it. Wa reading about the aforementioned surfer eq yesterday and I'm ally interested in the concept.

I'm very interested in this. He really needs to get someone to do his marketing stuff though. That kind of stuff doesn't fly here.

The problem is in the way this tool is being marketed; making it sound like it's a game-changing, automatic mixing revolution is bound to raise an eyebrow or two, invoke surgical inspection and/or cause unnecessary controversy, especially once it's determined by everyone that it's not as spectacular as it was marketed to be. This further on causes unnecessary damage to developer's reputation, regardless of how honorable his intentions were, or how useful the tool indeed is or can be (outside of its falsely marketed context and nature).

Yeah, 'Shane1980' seems alright, but this kind of hype has gotten to be a joke here. This is not really the place to insult, really most users' intelligence, with language that's just unintentional comedy.

I tend to ignore the Sound Magic Threads. It is someone trying something here which doesn't work really. He tries a number of tactics, like a contest, and no one is interested. For me, after a time this is a kind of sad funny. The marketing tack is so ill-advised. I'm not sure shane1980 is going to even pick up on how much of a problem it is. It is clueless as per the market here, and I have to wonder what the problem is.

More than one of these 'revolutions' aren't even a step in the evolution of the tech. It does come off as a con and there is just no confidence to exploit here. Most Sound Magic threads get no or next-to-no replies. It's inevitable to see it piled on after a point. Piling on is one thing KVR has alwAys been good for. It is odd to see a tangential fight break out though.
