Exactly, miedex.
Mr_Voltz, I was not threatening. I was explaining to you what the consequences of behavior that is contrary to KVR's rules will be if you continue. Whether what I said came to pass depended on whether you took the high road or keep to the low. When it comes to getting what you say you're after, that high road would've been a far better bet. I warned you to be civil, but the low road appealed too much so here's a week of "child's time out" to think about it.
P.S.: Anyone who knows me knows I have nothing to do with Crysonic, have never even considered buying anything they make, and don't take sides in such disputes. I want everyone to get what they paid for. Not getting what you paid for is bad, no question about it -- but it doesn't excuse blatant violation of KVR's rules. Play fair or don't play here.

I agree with Mr. Volts in spirit, but also agree that getting steamed off will accomplish nothing. I have sent Crysonic about 6 e-mails asking for either a refund or a download link to the "new" product that I pre-ordered in August. The latest announcement e-mails that I am still receiving says that the product has been released. So I should be able to download it and everything would be Smurfy.
However, they have not answered any of my direct e-mails. they have not answered PayPal's request that they communicate with me. This is frustrating and does make me angry. I was talking about metaphorical torches and pitchforks in case the subtlety of my dry wit escaped anyone.
Yes, if you order and pay for one of his existing products you can download it and he will send you the reg codes. Fine, and I like his plugs. THAT IS WHY I PRE-ORDERED THE "NEW" VERSION OF SPECTRALIVE! If you ordered this you are just out of luck since he will not answer your e-mail. The lack of a download link does leave me thinking that there was now new version of anything and it was all a scam from the start. That coupled with a major change of address and continent, no communication and no explanation here from Crysonic leads me to reluctantly conclude that I have been had.
I would think some of you might have a little more sympathy for us unwitting dupes than you seem to have. But there you go.

Others' reactions I can't tell you about but in my case it's not a matter of sympathy. I have sympathy for you. I have sympathy for anyone who's not got what they paid for.
My actions as a moderator in cases like this can't be based on sympathy, but keeping people from going -- and staying -- too far outside the rules. As far as I can tell you're doing it right, applying legitimate pressure. Hope it'll pay off.

so as I said before: I have personally not had a problem with the company, and the 3 plugs I have work fine. I understand everyone else's position and my sympathies go out to those who feel they have been wronged. but here's my question:
are the 50 people who are unhappy with this company and trying to bring it down, about to screw the rest of us in the process? meaning: Crysonics software is automatic C/R, so if and when you guys bring down Crysonics, does that mean my software will stand a good chance of no longer being functional?
just a thought. I can live without the stuff, but wondering if anyone had thought about this?

I've had no dealings with the company, but I would venture that if the people who claim to have been screwed are telling the truth, they are highly unlikley to altruistically let it pass, for the sake of those who have not been screwed. That is, unless those who have not been screwed feel like compensating those who have been...which I suspoect is equally unlikelymichael2 wrote:so as I said before: I have personally not had a problem with the company, and the 3 plugs I have work fine. I am out approximately $40 that I could use for a week of food but I'll let it slide because I will "bring down the company" by getting back what I paid and warning people of the comapany's practices.michael2 wrote:so as I said before: I have personally not had a problem with the company, and the 3 plugs I have work fine. alright man, calm down. I was just posing a theoretical question. the tone over the last few pages has been:hoth wrote:I am out approximately $40 that I could use for a week of food but I'll let it slide because I will "bring down the company" by getting back what I paid and warning people of the comapany's practices.michael2 wrote:so as I said before: I have personally not had a problem with the company, and the 3 plugs I have work fine. you're out $40 now, if they get their "holiday surprise" i'll be out what I spent on the plugs when I bought them. as I said, I don't need the plugs and I can live without them. no need to take anything personally. I probably shouldn't have used the word "screwed" in my OP, as that sounds like I am blaming you and everyone else who wants compensation. not my intent at all.Mr_Voltz wrote:Update...I'm not going to post what I and others have been doing in case
you-know-who is lurking, but let's just say things are moving along smoothly and Liesonic may be getting a holiday 'surprise'...

Michael,
As far as I know, if you order one of Crysonic's regular plugs, you will get a download link and you will get your product. No problem. I bought Spectralive 3.5 on the AudioMidi no-brainer deal and really liked it.. Then Crysonic sent me word that I could download a second plug for free. I did that.
Then I started getting word of an impending new, badder and better version of Spectralive that was in the works. They started off with a special pre-order price. As I continued to ignore the e-mail the price went down and the release date became more "any day now". They were just doing last minute testing, etc.
So I decided to jump on it in August when I got an e-mail that was more like "no kidding this time, any minute now it will be released and this price will go up to"... whatever. I paid through Pay Pal in August and started e-mailing them in October. They have only responded to one e-mail. That was when I found a link on their site to e-mail for information about some other ground breaking product that is in the works. I copied my PayPal receipt and stated that since the latest e-mail says that the product is released I would sure like them to send me a download link. They answered that two weeks ago saying that the pre=order was for previous customers only and that I should check my Junk folder just in case I had missed it. That ignores the obvious fact that I clearly received their special offer e-mails, else I would not have known to order at the special low price.
PayPal sent then notice to contact me to resolve the problem and they have studiously ignore that request and all e-mails that I have sent them to date, save for the one that I slipped past as stated above.
So this is not a case of someone being out to get them this is a case of them delivering a product that has been paid for. Their total lack of communication does not bode well for their continued success as a company.
it isn't even difficult. They merely need to give me a download link for the product or refund my money. Businesses do this every day. The fact that they will not answer an e-mail and resolve a simple issue leads me to conclude that this is a scam and that they have no new product. Why else is it still a problem?

Hi,
My name is John James the new Customer service and product marketing manager at Crysonic. First We apologize for the delay on Spectralive NXT V4. Unfortunately we have made an erroneous announcement in our previous newsletter regarding it's immediate availability and it was made by me due to a communication error with the Developer team.
I am now able to tell you with certainty that everyone who pre-purchased the product will have the full version available for download by Friday the 23rd of December. If you do not receive a download link by then, we will gladly refund the full amount paid regardless of when it was purchased.
I apologize again and hope that we win back your future business with our new upcoming products, which will be available 'When released' and not any sooner, Thanks again!
With kind regards,
John James

I get all that, and I feel bad for you. I was just posing a question in response to the movement that was afoot. If I were you, I'd be pissed as well. Was just a question (not a condemnation). I think I have explained myself over the last couple of posts, so I'm going to ignore this thread from now on.Atomic Shadow wrote:Michael,
