@Osiris
the 3D graphics are not really 3d... only a 2d rendering of a 3d GUI
a good reason to update would be: faster loading times, decreased overall CPU need, and many more (see some posts above for a complete list)
and no, you do not have to re-download the whole content. Just download the update and install it
your fxp's btw will still work

whilst I won't/can't be as harsh, I do wish that manuel would use some other demo producers for different products... by the time I listen to all the demos they sound alike to me.

I did upgrade the elicenser program. Support told me to keep it open in the background as a work around for using Nexus 2.3.1 in Logic 9.1.6. It works sometimes, but not all the time. The short is. Logic users wait to upgrade until 2.3.2osiris wrote:@sandmanfuzzy: did you try seeing if there was an update to the elicenser control center? So far, it's been an innocuous little red nightlight in my USB port, but I'm waiting....
I've done far too many updates that actually break things more than fix, so I don't know.
The 3d graphics seem counter-intuitive to my computer settings as I have graphics set to run at minimal.
What I'd like to know is a good reason to update. Improved sound quality? More presets? Better CPU?
I'm even more clueless about how to update. Do you have to re-download everything? Can you install over the previous version, or should you uninstall, then install?
I have a bunch of .fxp's I made with the old version and I don't want to lose them.
The benefits of Nexus 2.3 will be yest faster load times and the fact you can run 64 bit, use all over 4gb of ram, and not have to deal with the horrid 32 bit bridge in Logic. I am looking forward to it.

Hope you get it working.
@ the others: I know sometimes the demos sound the same, but I think a big problem with the demos is they don't show 1/4 of what Nexus is capable of.

Can Nexus 2 do Program Changes (switch presets via a midi controller).. Thinking of buying it.. But will like to program my own arp settings and switch between them for variation... Is it possible?

There is a 2.3.2 out now.
website says:
Nexus2 update 2.3.2
A new Nexus2 update (version 2.3.2) is now available which fixes all problems from the previous 2.3.0 and 2.3.1.
Sorry for the rought state of the 2.3.0 and 2.3.1. We promise that it won't happen again.
All incompatible skins will be released over the next few weeks, with a focus on the black and blue ones, since those ship with Nexus2 and thus are the most widespread. We'll keep you posted.

Actually the Apres Ski Expansion and Demo is not from me. It has been made by my co-worker Stephanzvenx wrote:whilst I won't/can't be as harsh, I do wish that manuel would use some other demo producers for different products... by the time I listen to all the demos they sound alike to me.

I just have overseen the production quality and completion, like I do with every 3rd party xp.

New Features in 2.3.2
Fixes
Delay- and Reverb-types can now be selected directly again.
OSX: Fixed the last remaining eLC issues. All projects load/save fine now.
OSX: Text-edit fields were truncating input in 32-bit mode.
OSX: Tempo wasn't followed in the AudioUnit version. All tempo-related
FX used 120 BPM instead of the hosts tempo.
Thanks to Joker (hxxp://twitter.com/#!/Joker) for helping me
with testing new versions until we figured it out.

Msvs,
Would love it if you could give Rob Lee a crack at the next trance, electro, house expansion bank.
I think there are many fans of his work with the Sylenth sound banks.
I believe he could do Nexus justice.
Cheers

+1, and also an Ian Boddy bank. His Albino/Alpha/Predator work is outstanding.
