Thank you
The GUI isse in Reaper is nearly fxed :
the arp loads fine, but if i close the FX window, then the central screen is displayed blank :

By the way, is there any way to turn the main screen in a keyboard to quickly enter melodic sequences ?

Changes:
- Extended to 64 steps! (it was sometimes tricky)
- Attempt to fix transparent GUI issue (can't check so it's just a guess)
- Fixed some MIDI logic flaws (stuck notes sometimes)

Patch save/load is a main thing for the next weekend.
* Works great in Ableton Live 7.

* 64 steps works really nice.

* UI is fine too.

Working fairly well.

One word of warning to anyone who has used the previous version (in Reaper 4 at least I found this): the new version can't load settings from the previous version. Reaper recognized it as the same plug-in and tried to load it with saved settings from the previous version but the plug-in wouldn't function, so you will have to recreate your old settings if this happens to you.

One request: would it be possible to allow 1% steps in the gate setting? Right now it goes in 10% increments which is pretty coarse.

Stuck notes haven't been an issue now except one time I stopped playback while a note was being triggered and the note stuck on.

Graphics work now in Reaper although I've found that when closing and reopening the GUI, the main window will be white until I click again on one of the bars (key select, step type, etc.), so the GUI isn't recalling that part of the graphic based on whatever bar was selected the last time you closed the GUI, it's just loading up the main window blank when you reopen it.

Thanks for the update!

Also, a swing control might be nice (Kirnu has this and ARPG8R has a "shuffle" knob), and maybe the ability to have it be key-on so you don't have to have the transport running to check for changes while you program it. I know this is possible with sequenced plug-ins because the mg Trigger Gate has this feature.

Can you record a screen video (like ENV1 did before) to give me better idea about this issue? You can use any screen recording tool like HyperCam2 and then upload it somewhere like sendspace.com.

PS. I don't dismiss other issues like swing and gate, just want to implement patch load\save first (as a more important issue).

You're right, I forgot to mention this. Since I changed the parameter map (introdicing more params because of 64 steps), it's not compatible with the previous version parameter-wise. But when I'll add gate per step and swing later, it should be, cause I reserved some number space for new params.

The same thing - please record it and upload somewhere. It's better to see (I tried it myself with trial version on Reaper, but it was all OK). Also check your windows settings (all modern GUI features enabled or not?). Or maybe you use some desktop GUI expensions?

Thank you :-)
Works great in Cubase 6 32bit.

Thank you Oleg!
Great job with the Gui and the 64 steps! :) :tu:

I don't want to drive you crazy, and i know you are working
a lot with save/load, but i'll ask again:

Do you think it's possible to add 2 lines for CC? (Cutoff, Resonance, Env attack, decay etc...)
2 lines of Arp Mod would make this beauty a full fledged Arp
monster!

Actually I can work on it only next weekend :). I'm thinking of a best balance between usability and loads of features. On one side, I want to keep it intuitive and user-friendly from the start. On the other, features are good, but I don't want to have a feature-rich complicated monster like Numerology3.
Currently the best compromise I see for features like this is to make them hideable, so they'll be off by default and won't clutter the interface, but will show up with "show extras" setting turned on.

Post

Agree. Keep it simple. Otherwise you'll be requested to death and it'll turn into a dancing five-legged camel.

tested in MuLab on Windows XP and worked flawlessly.

+1 for swing!

That's an excellent solution. When reading hollo's wish for another modulation line I was thinking about a "+ knob": adding another line and another one etc. for the demanding user, while the only extra element on the screen for the 'standard user' is that small plus button.
It may require a increase in size of the UI though (for the extra lines, not for the + button).
The more I hang around at KVR the less music I make.

I'm having this exact same issue:

This thing could use a gui akin to Kirnu

I like the GUI because I think it's easy to use. I like the large block based main display. I wouldn't mind dropdowns on some of the settings instead of all of them being stepped, but that's a minor issue.
