Every single one of my IK plug-ins now won't work. That's all the original CSR, T-racks originals and T-racks Custom Shop and the older Amplitube. I have re-authorised, uninstalled and re-installed (twice) but nothing works. They won't load at all in any host - registry error or Not installed properly.

The only thing installed recently is the latest version of Quicktime which cannot be overwritten by the older version in the CS installer.

Any ideas?

Thanks - I have submitted a ticket.

The shell is a nice idea but uses more CPU than the individuals. (about %3 per instance)

There really should be a next/previous button for preset browsing in the individual plugins.

I can see this was requested 3 years ago. time for a bump eh :-)

Bumping this old thread because it's 2016 and looks like they still have the same idiotic (sorry, I mean 'interesting') authorization mess.

I have been trying to install the Peluso style eq plugin for a few days and it just loops and loops.

maybe EQ stands for 'enough! quit!'

it's just a d*** plugin, not the keys to the Pentagon.

I checked out some videos and liked the spring model in the Sunset sound reverb, and decided to buy.

Ok, that was an hour ago. Holy f s shitballs, what the F**** S*** A* hail satan is this install process? I still haven't gotten it to show up anywhere. Seriously, I've used VST plugins since 1998 or something and this is the first time I'm ready to smash my keyboard through a window because of a plugin. I'm sending a pallet of diarrhea to IK headquarters soon. So far it has downloaded two gigabytes of junk, installed 60 plugins that I did not want, and which don't work because I have not bought them, (yes, I didn't want those plugins, why the f**k did you install them if I buy another plugin), I've created one or two accounts somewhere, authorized and installed god knows what. And I don't see my supposedly tiny spring reverb anywhere. I'm now carving a reminder to my concrete wall with a chainsaw - DO NOT BUY ANYTHING IK!

Oh how I wish I knew this beforehand. Well, who can I blame, besides IK for making this horror of an user experience and myself for not googling beforehand.

Fun fact, I've been reinstalling my IK gear just today, IK Product Manager install was no problem, download and authorization was no problem, moving plugins I don't have a license for, since PT still doesn't have a Plugin Manager, wasn't a problem. Hiding the plugins without a license from the S1 Plugin browser wasn't a problem, same for Cubase. Everything handy dandy, maybe you're still trying to do stuff like in 1998 or using an OS from that era? :D

Overall I can't recommend people to NOT get IK stuff. It's still pretty underrated and they won be back just by adding the ability to deauthorize rather than having to use up my authorizations. Big plus if you're changing your Workstation more often than your underwear.

What's that smell btw.? :help:

I also did reinstall today to add free Black76. All already downloaded installation files are in Documents/IK Multimedia, so I just ran installation - easy, no need to turn on any product manager app.
For the authorization, IK Product Manager is very easy to do it.

As I use Cubase, plugin management (hiding, categories, etc.) is very easy. Of course, bloatware is bloatware - nothing will change that.

I heard that CS can be uninstalled now? Do anyone successfully removed CS and kept only Product Manager?

also keen to know this, i need more disk space and have so much ik stuff i dont own, their installation is really bad, shame as their stuff sounds decent, but not good enough to justify this (and by this thread its been going on 10 years)
theres some ik stuff i want to buy but wont because of this, let people choose what to install in the first place

IK custom shop, Product Manager, Serial Code
authorization. total mess.

Takes more time to try authorizing their products than making music with them.

Not buying anything IK related until they get all that sorted out.
