Tal-Uno-Lx is a joy to use. That squidgy filter with it's envelope modulation velocity response is so loverly!!
Really looking forward to TAL Bassline 101. The sequencer/arpeggiator MIDI out means you can record and edit your TAL Bassline 101 sequences/arps using just the VSTi and your DAW. Loads of room to then create new patterns by adjusting the recorded midi notes within your DAW. I love you Patrick!!

Looks nice, further from the original than the U-NO-LX, though, it seems... Actually, it looks betterlofty wrote:
any hints on how that sequencer is going to work?
I would love it if there was the same basic functionality as a 303 sequencer - so with a slide & accent per step option.
Will it also run on batteries like the original?
How many voices does it have?
Here is a nice overview of the original:

SH-101 had been my better TB-303 at the time. It just sounded great for basses, and quite fatter.

I am happy that i resisted to purchase LuSH-101 and waited for this.
Like with U-NO-LX the introduction price will be a no-brainer and like with U-NO-LX i could add layers, FXs etc. using e.g. Mutools MUX.
Would be interesting to layer U-NO-X and Bassline-101 or use the free Chorus-LX with Bassline-101.

I love LuSH-101 but I'm still going to get this. Just like U-NO-LX, the price is right and I'm sure it'll sound great! For the 303-type stuff I'm intending to use this for, using LuSH would be a bit like killing flies with a bazooka.Ingonator wrote:I am happy that i resisted to purchase LuSH-101 and waited for this.

I have never played that synth, and for some time I mistakenly thought it had a unison mode. But it couldn't have had if it was monophonic, I suppose. Makes me wonder what the difference to the Juno was. I suppose mostly the number of voices as the rest (voice architecture etc.) seems very similar despite the different looks. Makes me wonder if that synth is worth it if one already has the U-NO-LX. The biggest drawback with both is that they only have one oscillator each, thus no semitone-detuning, layering etc.
When it says introductory price 40 bucks, does that mean 40 bucks forever like with the U-NO-LX?
If not, will the Bassline eventually cost more than the U-NO-LX?

From their website:
Re: the question if both are redundant. Well, they share a similar voice structure, but the SH-101 does sound different, more growly if you will
So both U-NO-LX and Bassline101 will be $60 two months after the release of Bassline101.TAL proudly announces TAL-BassLine-101 after a year of hard work. We think it's one of our most accurate emulations. The release will be in a few weeks.
Some features:
Features of the hardware.
24dB resonance low-pass filter (ZFD).
Original (RC) and linear portamento mode.
Built in arpeggiator with some additional modes.
Powerful step sequencer with up to 64 steps and recording option.
Carefully calibrated after our studio hardware device.
Different sync modes (MIDI clock, Midi note trigger, Host).
Sequencer MIDI export with drag and drop.
Sequencer / arpeggiator MIDI out for VSTi version.
De-Clicker mode for slower envelopes :/
Additional poly mode.
Around 250 factory presets.
Introductory price of 40$ for the first 2 months after release date.
We will rise the price for TAL-BassLine-101 and TAL-U-NO-LX to 60$ after this introductory period.

If you get a modular environment/synth like e.g. Mutools MUX (that is a VST plugin itself) you could do something like this:fluffy_little_something wrote:Makes me wonder if that synth is worth it if one already has the U-NO-LX. All settings of the U-NO-LX patches/layers are saved within a MUX preset.
In those examples the macro settings for the envelopes and filter apply to all layers.
The latest version of MUX allows the double amount of macro controls.

I am using Mulab, so yes, I could do that. But frankly, I prefer that being done within one and the same instance so I can save it within the sound patch that I can then use in other DAWs as well. It also means a lower CPU load, especially with such modern synths that can be quite a load.

MUX is a VST plugin that could be used in all compatible DAWs. I am using it in Ableton Live 9.0.4.fluffy_little_something wrote:I am using Mulab, so yes, I could do that. The MUX patch could save all settings so on another computer you would only need the MUX presets, the MUX plugin and the synth plugin.
Within MUX you could open each layer (the grey boxes on the left of the screenshot) and save the current patch as a normal synth patch (here a U-NO-LX patch).
You could also add a step sequencer module if you like. MUUX is a modular synth that could use VST plugins as modules.
