I have only 1,450 plugins... :help:
Lucky you ^^ I think I will be dead before my vst folder will be organized, and during that time no music is produced of course :D

I just bought 6 expansion packs from the current cakewalk promotion.

There's no salvation to me!!!

I think most people who are on this site fairly often have GAS. I know I have for a long time now.

In the past few days, I have bought Kilohearts Khs One, Image-line Sakura and Toxic Biohazard. Now I am going to pick up Dim Pro from Cakewalk. I don't need any of these things, but what the hell. I am sure at some point I will find a use for these plugs.

It's funny. Presonus has a "Why I switched to Studio One" video contest on right now. I don't think they'd appreciate my story. About the only reason I switched was because audiomidi had a $30 no-brainer deal on S1 Artist.

On second thought, maybe I will make that video.

I know, I know. Off topic. This thread is only about VSTs.

OK...now we need someone to come up with a vst version of this...

I have the best way to fight those urges and make use of what is in our possession...

How about we make a one month challenge, using only one synth, and up to five plugins to release a 3 to 4 track EP and share it. That way we will learn how to use each and every synth we have and get know them better in time.
If anyone is up for it let me know, and I will make a new thread 8).

Its time to get creative with all of our VST's collection and gear that we have been collecting for so long.
Hello, my name is Gojko and I also have GAS.

When you fully realize how truly counterproductive it can be to keep buying too much gear, it's easier to stop doing it. Don't get me wrong, do buy stuff, but not TOO much, as that is a major problem for a lot of electronic musicians/composers/producers these days, seeing how incredibly inexpensive this stuff has gotten.

That's the spirit of the 'One Synth challenge' already going on.

I often wondered if I was going overboard with my VST arsenal(since Reason could easily produce most every synth sound I would need)...with the exception of say, something like Alchemy.

The thing is though...I am not much of a synth programmer and in fact, when I come up with something unique & very usable in my Reason DAW,it's usually by accident.

When I discovered Psychic Modulation's synths(the free ones),I was delighted by the unique character of it,so I was happy to buy the Aethereal synth.
Which is to say,I could not have crafted these type of synths sounds on my own,in which case,I am happy to pay others for their synth programming skills.

All this being said,I will be happy to be a chronic case as a synth-slut for as long as I live...so I will buy till I die..proudly.

Currently,I am really fixed on SynthMaster....but I may lean toward the Blade synth.
