Don't you have the same results? I just have my laptop speakers for testing...but it sounds quite OK from here.

That being said I don't know why the delay would not be the same on the two presets (here it's OK).

Let me know...if still not OK I'll ask the people who knows!

Cheers,

Denis
No it's not just delays. If you hear those two sounds (please use decent monitors or a headphone) it should be pretty clear.
The patch from Analog Factory is more lifefull.
For one, Lylie from Analog Factory has nicely detuned sound from two osc that periodically gets sync/out of sync. This patch is one of my favorites of all time.
Unfortunately, the patch from Analog Lab sounds more flat, and lifeless. :(

That doesn't mean the two sound different, I would be more inclined to believe the patches are significantly different in some fundamental way. The synth engine is supposed to be unchanged.
yep, thats what i think too. it must be some kind of "bug" within the analoglab software and not an installation issue.
Thanks, so this is not just me.
I'm personally not sure about the engine though, maybe they are identical but I don't have any proof. I saw a simliar tendency on other patches as well, at least for Prophet 5, that the patches from Analog Factory sound better than Analog Lab's.

oh, "nice" to read and it wasn't the heat at the weekend, that let me think, that patches from minimoogV sounds different ot the same-named-presets in AnalogLab

slowly I think that I better have given the 99 Euro to a homeless in the city instead of buying this

it's a shame that great Arturia (I loved them before!) had to go this unprofessional way to get some money

if you come now with the hint "hey, do you really expectet 5000 presets sounding the same quality as the original software from them?" then I have to say "yes, allthough the price made me little bit confused"
I would pay another 99 Euro or 149Euro to get this huge collection of presets, just to have them - the V-Collection or so is not interesting for me 'cause I don't tweak that much, and the AnalogFactory wasn't interesting for me, 'cause not a 64bit-version!

put it on my list "thrown-out-money-for-nothing" :(

tbh what's a bit annoying for me is that I thought Analog Lab was Analog Laboratory so when they sent me the €19 offer I jumped on it thinking they had just shortened the name to make it snazzier. Its very confusing having the two products with such similar names and functionality and even more frustrating now I find the Lab is less capable.

Bought Arturia Analog Experience the Factory a few days ago.
The controller keyboard is really nice.
Strange thing is that the account that I opened on about the 2nd or 3rd of July had a voucher code for Analog Lab that was to be used by 30th June?
Why put that in my account when it's out of date? :?
I messaged Arturia this morning enquiring about it.
Haven't heard back from them yet.
This is my first dealing with them. What's their support normally like?

Hello,

After further inquiries (and good headphones) the two main differences I see are the the PW on osc A and the cutoff position. I'll ask our engineer why these two presets are different.

All the best,

Denis

My experience with their support is that they will do what they promise to do...eventually.

They are not the fastest in response, but they won't blow smoke up your ...usb port.
:hihi:

the latest version is definitely buggy when playing together with the latest studio one v2.5.

whenever i add a new vst to a project, instead of that vst's gui ..well you guessed it... analog lab#s gui shows up.

that is disturbing, really.
Finally!

Working fine here in Cubase.
Great having my controller all ready for tweaking withour having to set things up :)
Arturia support has been great too.

Can anyone tell me what you have to do to make the minicab work with analog lab as a plug-in? Using the analog lab preset, the knobs barely move the controls when in plug-in mode, although it works fine in standalone using the same template.

thanks

Hi Echoes in the Attic,

Try shift +pad 1 or shift + pad 2 to go from the absolute to the relative mode.

Lot of useful info on this page:

Hi Denis, when I said that I was using the analog lab preset, I meant the preset on pad 2, which works fine in standalone. Absolute works fine for other midi learning purposes. But relative doesn't work with analog lab as a vst.

Can I ask an honest question? Have you or anyone from Arturia actually ever tried to use the mini lab with analog lab vst? On a Mac that is.

Because if you had, you should see that it doesn't work. Standalone is fine but I would never use a standalone soft synth outside if a sequencer.

Thanks

What I can definitely say is: All Analog Series Plugins, if it's a single synth or the Laboratory sofware, uses around 350 MB RAM per instance.
What specifically uses all that RAM?

my comment is on the hardware....
the knobs have an annoying acceleration which is dreadful for syntheis. you can change the speed of the acceleration but you will never have the knobs moving in small increments and behaving like normal synth knobs.
to make even a minscule change you gotta turn the knob a crazy amount. just doesn't make sense to me.
the keys are horrible but that was to be expected.
anway sent it back. didn't like it
on the software can't comment...dinn't get round to it and wasn't interested in it .
