On bftucker - I liked most tracks, but created a system where I grade relatively. Tracks that I absolutely don't like are a 1 - and didn't see any this month. Track with a 2 are something I respect but lacked elements that made others stick out. 3 held my interest more perhaps. 4 even more. 5 was all round good - sound design, sound, mixing, etc.

Otherwise I'd give most songs a 3,4,5!

Points have been so precious and rare in the past, it's hard getting used to having so many. I threw them on the bed and rolled around in them before giving them away!

I have managed to listen to all the tracks this morning whilst cooking what I hope is going to be a nice meal for a party of 11 people:
- cooked pepper & tomato salad
- Lamb, prunes & almonds tajine
- honey & pistachio cakes in filo pastry.
My notes are covered in drips and drops with cumin & ginger flavours.
I was not able to comment as much as I would normally do on Soundcloud: in addition to some extra work, a succession of happy moments & tragedies took place over these last few weeks . I just hope now that NOTHING is going to happen in our family & community for a few months at least.

Its unfortunate that throughout our human existence we have to deal with tragedies and even knowing that we don't know when they are is frightening. I hope everything works out.

Thank you for the hug and show of compassion. Much appreciated.
With regard to food and cooking, it is mainly a very simple way to make people happy. I actually find there are many similarities between cooking and making music . It is probably easier to obtain consensual approval with a nice dish than a piece of music.

Sorry for the erratic comments on soundcloud but I really had a busy week, will try to comment more later ^^

A lot of amazing tracks to hear, that was a great experience even I had to listen everything at once due to lack of time. Haaa I hate deadlines :p

I only gave one point to my track. I wanted to spread my vote across the points system, but for a first time with the new voting system I felt not comfortable to put only 1 point to someone track

But I still managed to extract only 3 track at 5 points, and I'm glad of it coz I really wanted the most amazing tracks to my ears to have this little plus of 5 points instead of 4 (for really good tracks overall).

There were a lot of great submissions this month, so voting was a pain in the butt. Thanks for all your great music and all your nice comments on Soundcloud.
I didn't have the time to comment on each track, as I was hell busy this month. Hope to meet you all again in September though.

I like this way of voting, although I understand it is not ideal for everyone as it is more time consuming than just picking your five favourites.

My voting rationale was:
1 pt - for my own track and any tracks I hated (there were no such tracks this month)
2 pts - for tracks that weren't bad but didn't quite click for me
3 pts - for tracks I liked
4 pts - for tracks I really liked
5 pts - for amazing tracks where I have no idea how they made them, just insane quality and creativity.
