Nah, that's rather annoying. Usually I reach this limit already at the 10th day of the month, and then I can surf & download for the rest of the month with reduced 65 kbps (sometimes it's even a bit faster).highkoo wrote:Waaat?Tricky-Loops wrote:my monthly download limit (which is 3 GB)
Thats not even funny.
I'll test the online installer as soon as I get the serial number (I'm still waiting). I don't need an offline installer with 1 GB...

And on top of that, when my download was completed (in about an hour) I suddenly found out that I occasionally have downloaded Mac installer. I'm on Win. Kill me please.recursive one wrote:Yep, my DAW machine has no web connection. Forgot to mention that, sorry for the confusion.lfm wrote:

Uninstalled. Too much hassle for something which I don't know if I need it really. Installation worked, registration ok, service center connection worked, Internet Connection and final registration via Service Center worked. Loads of dlls were installed just for one plugin. Fl Studio showed em all, tried to start it. "Something went wrong with the installation". Took to much time to get a thing working without knowing is this so important with so much other software. So: No.
End of it.
End of it.

hmm... audio with stuff below 250 Hz that you want to bulk up? anything... try some (electronic-tight'n'punchy) drum loops that you feel need a bit more low-end density.Igro wrote:So folks, what kind of material (waveforms) would be the best with this plugin?

I kind of expected it will be like this... So I didn't bother to install it myself. I don't doubt it's a great plugin. It's just too much hassle for me. I'm an anti-bloatware person.thomekk wrote:Uninstalled. Too much hassle for something which I don't know if I need it really. during installation you can choose what to install - no huge download.
i don't see the hassle at all if your computer is connected to the net.

You can get Gold RIGHT NOW. Buy Waves Silver for $149 and use their half off upgrades deal which is running this weekend only, for $100. Total price = $249, plus they're offering a $20 voucher towards purchases after November.lfm wrote:MaxxBass is on sale $49 and give some more control. Or is part of Gold bundle when there are no-brainer deals for those 30+ plugins, down to $250 or so a couple of month a year.
Apologies if someone has posted this. I haven't read the whole thread yet.

You should not blame others if you were not able to do the installation correctly.thomekk wrote:Uninstalled. Too much hassle for something which I don't know if I need it really. You need to select only the plug-ins during the installation which you have a licence for. So, in the case here, you just select "RBass", and that's it.
Can't believe people write here "Yeah, I ecpected that too..."

The installer usually ends with a couple of Microsoft distributed installs(has to do with Visual Studio 2005 and 2008 development tools) as well.thomekk wrote:Uninstalled. It's important you don't cancel those.
If apps give the message you got - I assume these did not go through.
I'm talking about Windows 7 here - which is required as minimum. XP is not enough(not officially anyway).
But if you don't want it - don't bother. We are just trying to help.

WUP: it'd probably be around $10. I bought a bunch of singles last year, and that's what they're looking like in my WUP panel (not sure if WUP gets more expensive as it gets closer to the expiration, but it does seem as if $10 is the minimum.)
Offline installation: yes, the 1 Gb file contains ALL files for Waves entire collection. When installing, just select the bundle or single plugins you want to install. You need to ensure that you've gone through the proper method of signing up for the free plugin, as you can't just download the offline installer and install Ren Bass and expect it to work. You MUST have proper authorization by registering the plugin in the Waves License Center app and putting the license on your computer.
