...so you want mono master outputs is that what you are saying?

No, what i am saying is that instead of being able to only connect stereo monolithically I'd like to be able to connect left and right channels separately, eg, having two pins/cables instead of one for stereo.

Why not create a control panel for each plugin, like EnergyXT v1 used to do.
Right click, set "inputs and outputs".

This then shows you a matrix of (say) 8 inputs and 16 outputs.
You can then "link" channels in stereo pairs, or unlink to create mono connections.

Stereo Cables could then be marked with a S or stereo symbol, and mono cables could be marked with an M or mono symbol. Or... slight different color (Orange for stereo, yellow for mono, RED is automation, green is MIDI).

Plenty of possibilities.

You can right-click the graph and add mono or stereo input/output nodes. So you are asking for mono nodes on plugins.

Is anyone else missing the entire 'Audio/MIDI' tab in Preferences?
Ive uninstalled/reinstalled on two machines, and mine just looks as though that tab never existed...

Other hosts (like Maschine) won't.

You can do that, and much more, in MuLab Free. Open the Session MUX and there you can do all kind of modular tricks, including use of mono and/or stereo signals, and use both VST plugins as well as built-in modules. If you have any further questions about using MuLab Free (yes Free) as a modular host, feel free to ask it in the MuTools forum.

Since the dev from MUX already hinted at that (so did I earlier), maybe it's a possibility for Minihost Modular: Stereo Split and Stereo Join modules to both split the cables, or join them as needed.

If you can create containers (and later even create macro controls, etc), you can "hide" the stereo cable adapters to clean up the interface.

Still, a system like "right click - change connection matrix" like it was possible in eXT1 would IMO be a more comfortable way.

There is a bug, and if you are sure you are loading the 64 Bit VST, then, no it doesn't load.
