I just managed to create an effect in QuantumFX that makes absolutely everything sound exactly like someone letting go of a balloon and having it fly around the room...
Its very groing.
Its very groing.

So, does it groing then?

oohh...
I guess I had imagined a 'groing' to be more frontal.. if you know what I mean, giving a sound to something that doesn't exactly have a sound.. (so onomatopeia isn't entirely accurate, lauth at self).
but it's a cool sound.. not sure how I could work it into my next piece, but it could be on a fade out or something, just to keep interest...

Well, maybe it has groing rather than being groing.
Thats a fairly short sample though. Longer ones might have more groing. And since its an effect you can put anything you like through it...

You've got a pretty subttle sense of humour, but i'm afraid i can't premeditate those "GROING" careless mistakes... as becoming then careful !

Hi Krakatau,
Auctioneer: "Groing once, groing twice, grong!"
Sorry for the bad humor.
Tonight I was tweaking a synth's presets to get a tone I needed, and the volume was slowly disappearing as I was fine tuning the filter. So I inserted Bram's Anechoic reverb thingy as an effect, and voila!, I was able to boost the signal by about 3 to 6 db using the gain. (I didn't even have to tweak the Big Orange Knob to get this effect.) It was actually functional for this use.

ps, I will join your Dinosaur Club and I promise to pay my dues someday down the road.
