I find the complete lack of any kind of registered user's area on their website kind of odd - having to go thru some arcane process to request new download links if you need to re-download isn't really what I expect nowdays, nor is 60gb worth of monolithic download (look at fxpansion or camel audio for examples of how a decent user portal and downloading of LARGE sample content separated from plugins should work)

also the fact that they've got a custom activation system so that un-activated plugins run in demo mode, yet DON'T provide demo downloads is weird (well I can understand for strike/structure - but for hybrid/vac pro/loom etc there should be demo versions)
ya...the "demo, but no demo" thing is enough to hold me at bay ;)
...too bad...vacuum pro looks amazing.

I have bought today second hand Circle what is an amazing underrated synthesizer, with wavetables feature, so I definitely want to sell my Vacuum Pro ;)

Yeah, tried without it, no go. Installed DownloadAll for Chrome and things are peachy. Downloaded the bunch, installing Strike as we "speak".

Yep. If it still don't works, do the following :

- install free download manager
- in chrome, go to the air download page and click on the link
- when free download manager powers up, click "cancel". This launch the download as a normal chrome download
- go in the chrome download's page
- right click on the download and select "download with free download manager"
- the download should now start in free download manager and complete whitout problem

Tricky but only way i found to download the files without hassle !

So...

Downloaded without a hitch using the DL manager but -

the installer (after you unpack files with starting the first of the rar files) uses C:\ProgramData\Package Cache for second unpacking of the files even if you use another drive for data installation.

Which makes it impossible to install Strike and Structure in my case, as I only have 11gig free on my system drive, these two need more than that.

It's not really clear why it would need C: to do it.

I've tried solving it with moving temp dirs to another drive (in control panel) as instructed by Simon Bangs from AIR but it doesn't work as it really wants C:\ProgramData\Package Cache to go on.

Eh :(

Air support is extremely great -.- . Got no discount code on my Vacuum Pro after 2 weeks with email

Yeah, it's a pita. I had to change my c: for a bigger drive... Not very convenient, however.

This is unexcusable.

Wha would anyone have to change drive to install a program to a different location than that drive?

Sweet Jesus...:(

Well, in my case it was an overflowing 60gig ssd and it was planned for a long time, so not really a problem (and by the way i have a ghost of my system). But this unpacking cache thing has to be changed. They will certainly modify this in a forthcoming update.

Try using =http://comptb.cects.com/overview-to-un ... ion points...

download and install this:

http://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshel ... llext.html

This will install the right-click menu tools for creating junction points.

Then open an Explorer window, and create a folder somewhere that does have space.

Open a second Explorer window, navigate to ProgramData, and drag the copy to the new folder, then temporaily rename ProgramData\Package Cache to something else as a backup.

Right-click on the new copy of 'Package Data' and click on 'Pick Link Source'

Right-click inside ProgramData and select Drop As>>Junction

You should now have what looks like a shortcut called 'Package Cache' inside ProgramData. However, unlike regular Windows shortcuts, its completely transparent to the OS, and redirects to your new copy of Package Cache.

Once you're done, you can trash the junction point and rename the original, or just delete the backup.

Doing it now. Will report.

Thanks :)

It worked with Strike, Structure created another Package Cache in c:\ProgramData.

Go figure...

Vacuum pro is the weakest of the pack, in my opinion (sorry for the disappointment - personal taste, of course). Loom was the surprise of the pack. It don't works in every situation, but when it works, it"s amazing.

I would like to upgrade but about the bad experience with them, I want to sell my Vacuum Pro :( If somebody want this plugin, contact me ;)
