Harrison Mixbus 3 is coming today!

I purchased Mixbus 3 for $79. I never owned Mixbus 2. Not a single one of my VST FX and instrument plugins work in Mixbus 3 64 bit. You heard right...not one, and I have a ton of plugins. I'd expect at least some to work. I posted my issue over at Harrison's support site. Ben and another admin replied with some suggestions but nothing worked. I've cleared the plugins cache, cleared the blacklist, uninstalled and reinstalled Mixbus 3. Nada...same issue. It'll scan my plugins directory just fine but when I go to add a VST plugin to a track, I only see the stock Harrison plugins. The DAW is installed on Windows 7 64 bit 16gb RAM.
I have no VST issues when I use FL Studio, Studio One, Samplitude, or Bitwig.
I wished they had a demo then I would have known ahead of time that it would not properly on my machine before making the purchase. It is practically useless now to me without access to my VST plugins. I will request a refund and see how that goes. Warning, buyer beware.

Mixbus 3 looks interesting, but there's no way I'm going to stump up without a demo. Their reasoning is laughable....
Is there a downloadable demo for Mixbus?
No, we do not currently provide a demo of Mixbus. It is our experience that learning a new DAW is a significant investment in a professional's time. We require that users purchase Mixbus, and we provide fast email support to help our customers install Mixbus and learn to use it effectively.

Wow! That all sounds pretty lame to me. Good the upgrade price was so steep that i did not bought it already. Unbelievable to hear that kind of issues.

I have been using it for two days, and no problems in OS X 10.10.3. For me, it is an incredible product. And really cheap.
The only thing I would miss is a demo project or something like that.

Harrison now has an interim release for registered users. 3.0-1268. Log onto the harrison forums and look for the Interim release forum. Several fixes...My Nectar 2 and EZ Keys still don't work properly, but the stability of the program itself is much improved.

Mixbus v3 : "Interim Release" 3.0-1508 is now available on our user forum (http://mixbus.harrisonconsoles.com/forum). You must be a registered forum user to see the "Interim Release" category.
This release fixes some issues with ASIO soundcards and VST plugins on Windows that our users reported.
On Mac, it fixes IK Multimedia "Kontakt" and "Reaktor" instruments.

So, when can we expect a demo version? I have the previous version, but will not update (even at $ 40,00), without first demoing the new version, much more now, after all the reports about problems experienced.BenLoftis wrote:I'm sorry, I didn't make that very clear. I know our demo policy is different than most companies. Perhaps this is because we are primarily an "audio mixer" company, not a "software" company.
Considering the number of Mixbus systems that we have sold in the last month, I think the reports of problems are very reasonable. As you can imagine, someone who pays for a product will be sure to point out the flaws, unlike someone who tries a demo. This is to everyone's advantage. We are motivated, and obligated, to try to make things work for everyone who buys Mixbus.
Our customers can ( usually! ) expect us to solve problems for them very quickly; either with a workaround or a code fix. We've already published 2 updates to solve problems that our customers have reported on our forum. Because a lot of the work happens in the open-source realm, we can be very open about problems and how they are being addressed. I'm very happy with the open communication we have developed for Mixbus.
