In general, though, nothing beats Bitwig for this kind of thing, it's in a league of its own...bibz1st wrote:This is one of those times when Mulab comes into its own as its quite easy to do that with it, think Reaper can too
But that wont help you if your on Cubase

Havent tried Bitwig myself, might get Beat Magazine, they are giving away the 8 track version with this months issue

Also, the editing/arranging controls (#2) took me just a bit of getting used to... hate going back to anything else after, though... very useful and consistent to copy automation/tracks/blocks/etc...

I've downloaded the preset bank from http://ann.sounds.free.fr/ but I can't figure out how to install. I'm on a Mac, so I'm guessing this functionality is not available there? If anyone's done this on a Mac, I'd be curious to know how. I'm on Live 9 (64-bit), btw.

8 tracks! That might inspire one to make use of OXE's multitimbral capability.bibz1st wrote:Havent tried Bitwig myself, might get Beat Magazine, they are giving away the 8 track version with this months issue

I believe it also to be limited to something like two VSTs so there's a challenge for you!

I think I fixed my dropped notes problem.
I took the 16th notes, set Cubase quantize to 64th notes and chopped off 1/64th of each hit. Not only did it seem to fix the problem (I'm keeping an eye on it) but it seems to have brought out the accents on the hi hat more.

Nope, that didn't do it. Just went back to working on it and it dropped notes again. So it's not the envelope or length of the notes.
If it keeps doing this, I'm not going to be able to submit this month. I no longer will submit tracks that are sub par now that I finally got my sh*t together.

Seems to have worked for now. Having another problem. On reloading project, delay setting at bottom (amt) not saving with patch. So I have to reset each time.ere2learn wrote:Save the patch, delete oxe and reload the patch in a new instance oxe
A little buggy but I've dealt with worse. We'll see how this goes by the end of the month when hopefully I get to submit this.

Hey guys, since it the lfo uses numbers only, I thought I'd share this tool that I found useful for matching the lfo to bpm
