Especially if you still need one when reselling.
So what you are saying is that if you later want to sell the plug, you also need to ship the eLicenser dongle to the buyer?

Post

As far as I know there's no way to transfer licences digitally like with iLok. But maybe it's changed.

EvilDragon is a eLicenser dongle user, he can tell what the deal is now

Can be bought paying without tax :D

I was being fooled as the currency didn't change until it hit the basket, wanted Largo for years but not at the normal price

Yes. All to be read in the respective FAQ's for eLicenser protected software.

I see that PPG3V installer v1.1.0 became less size about 25mb than v1.0.5, interesting what is the reason.

Waldorf in collaboration with Native Instruments just announced that their Plugins including Nave (was alraedy done earlier), Largo, PPG Wave 3.V and Waldorf Edition 2 are now "NKS ready" to be used with the NI Komplete Kontrol S keyboards or the Maschine hardware controllers.

Facebook link:
https://www.facebook.com/WaldorfMusic

NI website including 50% off sale (including the Waldorf plugins):
http://www.native-instruments.com/en/sp ... ng-synths/

If you are an owner of Komplete 10 you could also use the Komplete Kontrol software as a browser, without using the hardware controller. It is also possible to use this with teh Machine 2 software.

I was involved with the project myself and the Waldorf Edition 2 now also includes a soundset with 64 of my own patches (which actually i had done a while ago alraedy).
A version fully comnpatble with PPG Wave 3.V should follow with an update in the near future.

Does purchasing PPG Wave 3.V include Waldorf Edition 2? I'm looking at this sale, and its much cheaper to buy the PPG Wave 3.V license than to upgrade from Waldorf Edition 2...

I was just listening to a guy's demo of his hardware PPG Wave in comparison and although the plug in didn't quite have the open sweet high end of the hardware, it was very close and probably if you hit it with some nice reverb you'd be hard pressed to tell a difference. In a mix you'd probably want to tone the highs down a little anyway. In the end, considering the price, I thought it was a good emulation. Remember, we're talking about an old wavetable synth. The analog filters were probably the hard part to get right.

As for Largo, I love that synth. Even when it was Komplexer, I had to have it the minute I first heard it.

I guess if you're used to all the fun wavetable-from-audio import things that are hitting the scene recently, Largo and PPG might seem too pedestrian, but I really like that old wavetable hardware synth sound. So full of character. Don't get me wrong, Serum is a lovely instrument but it's so mailable that it's virtually characterless. Sometimes I do like that, but sometimes I just want something that really has it's own "sound." John Bowen did a Sequential/Waldorf hybrid synth emulation for the Scope platform and I love it. Different strokes I guess. I never really fell for the Microwave XT like a lot do.

Could not imagine I could have made the same soundbank I made for Waldorf on Largo with any other synth. This synth has it's own character for sure. My favorite WT synth actually.

Hm. Ordered some nice sweet sugar waldorf edition 2 but all I had from NI was an email saying "thank you for buying" and that's it :P
NI account also says that the state of my order is "unknown". Wtf?

I have iLok dongle, not the eLicenser dongle yet so I don't know that so well.

But if I should buy an eLicenser dongle and put both Largo and my license for Padshop pro on that.

What happens later if I want to sell one of those, do I have to sell both licenses to the same buyer if I need to ship the dongle to the buyer?

No, you can buy another dongle to transfer the license from one dongle to the other. Or you trust the buyer to send you back the dongle with the not sold license. It's a PITA, i agree, but what can you do (actually i'm having a hard time selling some eLicenser protected stuff here too atm, so, if you wanna buy those, you get a free eLicenser on top! :D). I'd like an easy transfer, maybe via a website better too. Actually, it probably wouldn't be much of a problem, because, when i open up my account settings on Steinberg's website, it lists all my registered eLicenser products, because those infos obviously got transmitted when doing some maintainance stuff in the eLicenser control center. They probably would just need to make sure to make such a transfer method secure, and that's maybe where the problem lies.

At the official Waldorf Shop it should be possible to buy the Waldorf Edition 2 and the Upgrade version of PPG Wave 3.V at the same time. That should cost only slightly more than buying PPG Wave 3.V alone.
Upgrades do notz seem to be included in the current NI sale but you could get both PPG 3.V and Waldorf Edition 2 very heap at the curent 50% off sale. AFAIK usually sales at Waldorf are not more than 30% off.

At Waldorf I am more involved with testing (at Windows and with multiple hosts) and sound design but not really with the sales.
