a : who am i / what have i done ...
My real name is Patrick - born in London in 1972 but have lived in Australia nearly all my life.
I was educated in Catholic schools including 6 years in a Catholic boys boarding school so naturally I'm an atheist.
Never came to grips with university life I continually struggled with motivation and dropped out of every degree I started (I think that was 3).
Had strong bouts of depression and was completely envious for a while of completely shallow thoughtless pigs who probably had a pretty easy self-congratulating life while I was stuck thinking all the time and understanding what I was missing.
Worked as a contractor because I was adaptable enough to drop into almost any role but had no clue what I wanted my career to be. Had dreams of being an actor, singer/songwriter, poet but I couldn't stand the idea of making such a risky all-or-nothing investment in my own talent - came from hating myself so much I guess.
Have had absolutely no success in relationships with basically nothing lasting over 2 weeks. Wasn't helping my miserable self-esteem much.
Strangely enough, with all this stupid self-imposed misery, I didn't become a hard drug addict. In fact, I have remained completely hard-drug free the whole time. I should probably thank myself for that small piece of accidental wisdom.
b : what do i do at the moment ...
I work as a Business Analyst/Project Management blah blah role for an IT company. I actually love my work and have found myself very proficient in the IT Management area. In a way, you could say I tripped over and fell into a career. I still have no formal qualifications but I found and industry that doesn't seem to pedantically insist on them.
I also write music and poetry on the side and I would like to become a freelance composer having just a couple of compositions which have worked out.
I still have probably the worst luck with relationships. People kinda meet me and leave almost straight away. I always knew I was a little different.
I am now much happier with myself and with life. I still know I'm different and tend to think too much, but I tend to celebrate it now rather than hate myself for it.
c : what is my goal in life ...
I really want to fly. Somehow I just can't imagine going through this life without working it out. I won't accept that it's not possible and I will find a way somehow.
I would also like to find a partner to share my life with. I don't feel it as quite the burning need I used to. But then again, I don't need someone else in my life to distract me from hating myself anymore. But I'd like that intimate "connectedness" that comes with that relationship. I have something very close to it with a couple of friends, but I'm looking for that bit extra.
I'm not a family person at all so that is certainly not a dream.
d : i am interested in ...
Reading - science fiction, fantasy, horror. In fact, I'll really read almost anything fiction if it's good and recommended by someone. Something happens to me when I read. I suddenly lose my body completely and just become the story.
Movies - Lose myself easily with this one too. Love science fiction, horror (particularly with vampires), fantasy, action. I'm a movie lover I guess.
Singing - not trained by my singing's not too bad. It's fun expressing myself that way.
Poetry - I love reading back my poems and filling the appropriate emotional pang that most of my poetry is trying to trigger
Thinking - almost an addiction for me. I used to think the best job for me would be someone paying me to just sit there and come with ideas...for anything: song titles, plot concepts, corporate policies, radio jingles. And then those ideas could be taken away and developed by someone with more staying power.
Beaches in Winter - sorry, just love them.
Romance - can ya tell?
MUSIC - I love writing music
Talking - I always have the need to express myself. There's many ways of doing it and talking's one of those ways for me
Spiritualism - I really enjoy reading and thinking about spiritual beliefs. I'm quite fond of some native American Indian beliefs, Druidry and some of the Norse spiritualism. I also like reading about Kabbalah, Astral Projection and Meditation and Occultism etc. Not much into prediction too much though, but I don't mind using tools like Runes (for eg.) to try and harness some synchronicity.
Boring KVRers with endless ramblings about my life and thoughts - 'Nuff said.

who am i?
who am i i feel no pain,
could it be i've gone insane?
sorry just had to paste that.
im a 29yr old hobbyist from the netherlands
torturing my neighbours from a little amature recording setup in my attic. used to play in a punk band which broke up in 1990. left music for what it was for about ten years to focus on a grafiti hobby and since 2000 found ways to make sounds with the machine from hell(computer)
style i focus on now is: nin, ministry, fearfactory.
right now im just playing around, trying to find and create new sounds, mutulating guitar samples to noise, distorting many drum sounds and annoying people with what i find cool and the find horrible noise.
my goal in life is to convince people that music is a way to relax and enjoyment and not a meaning of making a quick buck, with horrible cheap dance compositions with no originality.
interested in: original bands, or just people who make sounds that i can relate to,like aphex twin, infected mushroom, fearfactory(rip) and my ruin.
sorry u had to read this all,
hakushi

hee teistert ...makker
waar in ons koude kikkerlandje is jouw stulpje gevestigd ?

My Turn
David I am,
I am 36 and was born in California. Moved around a lot as a kid, but always ended up back in California.
I have been a social worker, child therapist, and ran a foster care agency. I didn’t really like any of it very much.
Now I am living in Germany teaching American children of Americans in the military. However, I’m not really a big fan of the military, but I love to travel so here I am. I have to say the military parents are some of the most active and caring people I’ve come across. Life is always surprising me.
I really love teaching. I only teach the little kids (6 to 8), because they are easier to kick really far.
I played keyboards and sang in a few bands, which never went anywhere, well my garage.
Ten years back, I would write a song every few days until I just plain QUIT. I started playing African hand-drums instead. Then picked up the guitar.
I bought a Mac a year ago and was drawn in by the VST revolution. I really am enjoying now.
I married about a year and a half ago to a woman from Holland, who I met in California. Talk about a long distance relationship. She is wonderful and I could not be any luckier or happier.
My goal in life is to be happy and help others around me be happy as well.
I’m interested in music and travel. I also have started a children’s book, but never seem to get around to working on it. I blame music.
I was born Feb 21 which makes me a Pisces
Not a religious person but somewhat on the spiritual side. I have a strong faith in my fellow man and woman, which may make me the odd one out at times.
Oh I also have a very cool rat-dog.

Poweruser,
Where is this frog country anyway?
Mouthwash can help the stinky mouth people. I prefer just to stand a meter or two away.
And yet another idea: there are always the Waddeneilanden you can move to.
Not a lot of people, but a lot of wind, hence keep your mouth closed.

I wanted to move to NZ as well but my friend in Aukland said unless they really need people with specific skills in the job market it's very hard to get a work visa let alone move there.
OTOH there's lots of venomous creatures in NZ
