Yeah Indent is the only one that worked here. My guess is they're using a newer AU SDK now for the likes of Indent and just haven't recompiled the older plugins with it yet.

@Cinebient: To get that option back run this from the terminal: sudo spctl --master-disable

Although I don't recommend it. Gatekeeper is there for a reason. You can bypass it with individual apps/installers by right-clicking on them and picking Open.

Thank's....anyway too late....Sierra killed my macbook pro for audio production...long story....
Support says it could be a "hidden" hardware fault which does now appears

:hihi:
In the meantime it seems it was the freaking iCloud thing always trying to connect to somewhat even when i said no at the setup.
After going to settings and log me out there complete (i was loged in without remember if and when i logged in....must be a while ago) it seems to solve the problem.
There is so much bloatware in the OS i have to turn everything off which is possible. I´m sure there is more since i still have a bit more cpu usage and it´s getting faster warm (especially when using safari) than before but now it´s on a usable level.
But in general doesn't´t feel like an update. More like tank full of bloatware on a mission to get me to a new macbook.......
I will miss a few features but maybe it´s really better to go back to the oldest i can (or should because of important drivers) which is mavericks for my model.
But sure it is the same everywhere today. There is not much benefits in software updates these days. I think just security updates might be important. Everything else is to make older stuff obsolete!

The Cakewalk Command Center does not yet play well with Sierra. Unable to install or update plugins from the current latest release of the command center.

So aside from brainworxs, it looks like Xpand and Sylenth aren't yet working in Sierra?

Spectrasonics a no no too.
Mac Studio M4
15.7.3
Cubase 15, Ableton Live 12

A lot of peripherals from logitech, razer, steelseries and some high-end mechanical keyboards are no longer working correctly in Sierra.

If you rely on karabiner, it's also not working in sierra (karabiner-elements does, but it's a pain)

Softube Console 1 uses 10x more CPU, so I can no longer load my Ableton Live default template :(

Latest Softube installer version, MBP 2015, Ableton Live 64bit 9.7b7, AU plugin format.

They say don't upgrade

@Rommelar, It's been pretty smooth so far, maybe 1% of software have problems but I'm fairly certain
the authors didn't test extensively during beta.

I upgrade well aware that there will be problems, so this is an informative thread for me, not a complaining one.

That said, Microsoft is definitely way more careful about backwards compatibility, maybe to such an extent it
contributed to their downfall ;o)

Yes, they recommend to wait but it's also still working perfect for me in Logic Pro X.
