Bring it! The mix is already very nice, just resist the urge to redo/smash everything at the very last moment, this time ;). Kind of, do some tweaks along the way after you have taken a break for a day or two and hear it with fresh ears, and avoid that (almost literal) last minute overhaul without a chance to rest your ears and hear it "anew" after a while.

But seriously, it's shaping up really well now. (Especially after that 36 second mark or so, when it hits the intended full sound, of course.)

Nice! This is one of the few OSC Synths that will find a place in my own toolbox. Fast and functional, just the way I like em.
for the osc guys who make those really nice silky electro plucks, you must love this thing. i think the filter envelope sounds really good.

Are gate plugins allowed in the OSCs? If not, I can just take the long way.

Just for volume automation? I think it's fine, you could accomplish the same using automation.

Alright thanks. I know I could just do it with automation, but as I fiddling around with the gate in Glitch, and I just thought it'd be cool to throw in a gate in my song, save me some automation hassle.

Good to know I can.

EDIT: And no, I don't plan on using Glitch in my final song

Simple answer. No.

I have the Gentlemen's Editions of TDR plugins, and the upgraded Melda FreeBundle- can I use these if I avoid the paid features, or do I have to install the free versions? Not actually sure if it's even possible with Melda.

The only plugins that you can use are those that are free to anyone. For example, when NI first issued Replica delay it was free and you could use it. Now, it's no longer free so you can no longer use it.

If you have a plugin that is free and identical to the individually downloaded free plugin (no additional features like Replica has) then you can use it. If not, you can't.

Right, too much trouble then. Good luck!

I think that's keeping the spirit of that rule since it would sound identical, but I think what most of us do is write out the song and bounce the whole track if bouncing is necessary. That way it doesn't look like you cheated if someone looks at your project files.

Right, well, the issue is exactly that... consistency. In fact, this synth is one that the rule is specifically pertinent for. With OBXD it is NOT consistent. The oscillators are free running, they don't restart, so sampling a single hit is actually going to yield a different result (although you can mask this somewhat by other things such as adding an instance or more for the attack transient, making a slight attack time on the meat of the kick, etc...).

Can't you just install the free versions then ?
