is the new version of Largo most stable? I never had crashes with Live until using Largo recently in two projects, so I am suspecting it is the guilty plug in (i Ond't use many eiether).

When did those crashes happen? When the plugin was scanned? If it was when the plugin was scanned in the DAW, and you are using Windows, and you are logged in with a normal user account, make sure to copy the "Waldorf" folder from the admin, or installing users AppData/Roaming folder to your user's AppData/Roaming folder. It isn't installed for all users, when installing Largo, which makes Cubase crash, in my case, when scanning the plugin.

Nope, it crashes during the session, specially if I use more than 3 instances.

This is a 'heads up' ladies and gentlemen:

Apparently: my Largo license was erased from the dongle that it resided on - I've got no other explanation then that, because there are a total of (7) other licenses on the same dongle that are still active and untouched -

I found the original activation code for Largo from years ago and was able to convert; but I'm worried that my license for PPG 3.V might be erased before it's converted, and I do not have the (long gone) email containing it's activation code -

I've already sent an email to their support - and as usual - no response.

I think that Waldorf is a part-time business, people - stuff happens when they get around to it.

Anyway: I hope that I'm wrong about the Erasure, but probably not. If the other codes were missing from the same dongle, then I can comfortably call it a hardware failure of some (strange) sort.

I've always like Waldorf and their stuff - even though there's a side to them that sucks a$$ - how long did it take them to get the Blofeld firmware straightened out?

And why $100 just to unlock sample import?

Anyway: just had to get that out there, as perhaps a useful warning (I hope that I'm wrong) - and vent, somewhat.

What does this mean for license transfers?

I too am missing products in my account, but they are in tact on my elicenser. I never really had a use for Largo, so this might be an opportunity to sell the license to someone who can use it.

I “upgraded” my Lector, Largo, Nave, and PPG 3.v licenses to the new authorization system and they’re still all on my e-Licenser. And they're activated on my system.

I have just did it now! The whole process took few minutes!

I went to their website and logged in MyWaldorf and then just clicked and followed the instructions, (that is providing the e-licenser code to convert it), then they instantly sent me email (machine generated mostly) that has the activation code.

Everything seems to work after entering my email and the new activation code (after uninstalling v1.6 then installing the new one from the link in MyWaldorf). I needed to delete the track and insert Largo again to get the full version not the 'Demo'

I will try tomorrow sometime with my Laptop to see if I can activate it there as well (mostly yes, I don't think they give just one computer to activate the license!).

You are officially allowd to use the product at 3 computers at the same time.

Anyway there is no C/R protection and no internet connection needed so it is not really possible to control this.

Of course usually also no other developer that provides a simple serial protection will allow installations on an unlimited amount of computers in their EULA.

But I just noticed that the VST3 version is still v1.6

(I didn't delete the VST3! I forgot). So, I guess that the VST3 is still functioning with the usb e-licenser.
I think it is better to delete the VST3 and install the new version again.

The VST3 should be updated too. Be sure you de-installed the old version and maybe also delete remaining files manually before installing the new version.

Anyway for the VST3 it might be necessary to re-enter the serial once.

During the activation procedure it might be also necesary to start the host with administrator rights.
Later it should also work without this.

Waldorf software - new licensing system
