Thank you for this free effects bundle. Since the first one was released, I've been recommending this bundle to all of my clients as a go-to one-stop effects bundle for mixing. Especially my clients who are put off by no-GUI plugins like ReaPlugs. They love the GUIs, and honestly so do I. However, I'd like to make a suggestion, if I could. I emphasize the use of saturation in mixing with my clients. I try to get them using everything from tape saturation, bit-crushing, excitation, and all other forms of harmonic distortion in their mixes. Even just including a really simple saturation plugin would really just make this bundle complete. Just a suggestion! Thanks again for the great plugins!swatwork wrote:The Instruments and Effects bundles have now been updated to 1.2.
The Utility effect has been reworked slightly to include more options for the pan control - a choice of linear or equal-power pan laws and a bypass option.
This update also fixes a few outstanding problems with the tooltip parameter displays (all plugins) so updating is recommended if you want to avoid these.

Tried both: your effects and the updated GUI mda instruments. Very nice surprises!
Thank you very much for the lovely free tools, swatwork!
And thank you again for the voucher you sent me in April!

Had just used the Tilt EQ to attenuate the lows of a live recorded background vocal w/SM58.
It done the job nicely with just a turn of gain knob to -3.7 DB.
And bounced the Pro Tools mixes at 64 samples buffer size, with about 20 other DD plugin inserts, cpu hit at 25% and zero problem, fantastic Dead Duck!

The Dead Duck Effects bundle has been updated to version 1.3.
This sees the addition of 2 more plugins - Expander and Overdrive. There are no changes to the other plugins.

A good idea, I don't know why I didn't do this in the first placeK82 wrote:Geat stuff ! Would it be possible to get a low cut filter on the delay ?
I've updated the effects bundle to version 1.3.1 - both the Delay and MonoDelay plugins now have low cut filters.

For the effects, no. The instruments already have GUI-less versions here - http://mda.smartelectronix.com/alvfaria wrote:Could you do GUIless versions?

First, I wonder will we have the value type-in feature, because I smell like that will be the "pro" feature
Secondly, I have a question regarding CPU consumption.
This thought pop-up when the DD Overdrive was released.
At this moment it eat about 9% cpu, at mixing buffer size (4096 samples), but it sounds awesome!
And I understand that harmonic effects need lot of power.
Just a suggestion if you think this is good :
- Added a Mono/Stereo switch, so when we use the plugin on a mono track, the cpu can cut in half.
(like in the DD Channel, when a module is activated, the cpu is raised and when it de-activated, it free the cpu)
Examples of this (at 4096 buffer size) :
- Avid SansAmp PSA-1 eats 12% on a stereo track, and 6% on a mono track > AAX format
- StudioDevil VTP easts 14% on stereo track and 7% on a mono track > RTAS format
- Lots of my fav free amps VST, like TSE Audio, Ignite Amps and AXP has that mono/stereo switch which works perfectly.
I don't know how other native VST hosts handle cpu for mono and stereo tracks. Possibly they are automatically detected too?
But if we can have the mono/stereo switch in DD plugins, then it will be a real work-horse!

Aren't that a standard in all DAWs anyway? I mean to switch between GUI and just the controls of the default host GUI?alvfaria wrote:Could you do GUIless versions?

These effects have nothing to do with the mda plugins - the Overdrive (and RingMod) are original creations (by me!) not conversions of the mda plugins of the same name.layzer wrote:woot! you added overdrive!!!! i love using that one with 303 type synths

oh wow, i assumed you did conversions of the FX because of the instrument conversions.swatwork wrote:These effects have nothing to do with the mda plugins - the Overdrive (and RingMod) are original creations (by me!) not conversions of the mda plugins of the same name.layzer wrote:woot! you added overdrive!!!! i love using that one with 303 type synths
