when you say "get", do you mean the automatically displayed price or the price after contacting support, as it seems there are only 2 automatic prices - $399 intro and $299 if you own any number of products.Numanoid wrote:I get the upgrade price at $299:

It is the automatic price I get listed in my profile.OneOfManyPauls wrote:when you say "get", do you mean the automatically displayed price or the price after contacting support, as it seems there are only 2 automatic prices - $399 intro and $299 if you own any number of products.Numanoid wrote:I get the upgrade price at $299:
Even if I got the price down to $199, I am not sure I would be interested in upgrading.

I'm not so sure... Propellerheads never corrected their GUI issue, instead they just stack tiny modules side by side in their virtual rack now. They seem rather defiant over the calls for a size increase. That is the sole ...reason... I don't use Reason.simmo75 wrote:Thanks for the reply. I hear you about the size issue, i think they'll sort that out.VitaminD wrote:I'm kind of surprised you didn't get at least another 50 off. 299 is still an extra 100 off but I got the same discount and own less than you.simmo75 wrote:Maybe i'm over reacting... I own Synth Anthology 2, Digital Synsations, Beatbox Anthology 2, UVS 3200.
I also own Falcon and Relayer.
I thought i'd they'd give me a better price.
In any case.. you could theoretically sell the licenses that are included in VV2 and use the funds towards it right? So long as you make more than 100 dollars on the license sales you'd be ahead. That is.. provided you want to spend 300 dollars on VV2.
I was hoping for a slightly larger discount too, but either way the tiny size of the GUI windows is making me reconsider uvi in general. Fantastic sounds though.
I've just written to them again with a link to this thread in the hope they may issue me a better discount.
In any case.. hope you get a better offer.

I too was initially disappointed that none of the included products can be sold. But with the discount and all things considered, Im happy with the saving and even though I might've recovered more cash by first selling extra licenses, it saves the hassle of scrambling for a quick sale. And then the marketplace would've probably been flooded with these too.
Taking a look at simmo's list again, yep I would expect atleast some discount. They seem like reasonable people, so it should get sorted unless they have a good reason.

I just got an email and they gave me a better offer
Now I just need to sell Adaptiverb and a couple of other plugins to be able to buy it...

When I login, I'm getting the $199 upgrade price. I think the key is in owning the first Vintage Vault to qualify for the "low" price. I've got Vintage Legends, Vintage Vault, Synth Anthology II and Beatbox Anthology (I).
Might just pull the trigger later this month, since they list the new Oberheim package at $199 as well, and it's included, along with the other later releases
By the way, why did they change the GUI artwork in UVX3P and UVX10P - copyright issues from Roland?

I also got a better discount, which I took UVI up on and just upgraded to VVII. It looks like their servers are overloaded currently though, so I may have to wait until tonight to download the new stuff.... but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

Yeah, I had problems downloading - ended up using the US servers even though I'm in the UK.
I did find a trick that might be useful for other mac+chrome users when the download fails at 16.2gb of a 16.4gb download:
the failed chrome download will have a .crdownload file extension.
Fire up firefox, and start downloading the same file as you did with chrome - then pause it, delete the firefox .part download and rename the previously failed chrome downnload to the same .part name that firefox was using, then resume the firefox download.
this little trick saved me literally hours today.

There's more going on with some of the contents than just rompler/preset machine though.
The direction UVI are moving in seems to be more toward giving real sound design options, with the waveform selectable multi-oscillators, growing mod options, better quality effects etc.
If you like the sound of vintage - both digital and analog - then there's a lot to like, especially if you have a need for drum machines too.
Plus, if you have or get Falcon down the road, the UVI content becomes a whole heap more useful.

Anything in UVI packs that *are* out of tune get swiftly fixed by the team when reported. Like usually within a day or two.
The only thing that's new (so could potentially have tuning issues - though nothing has been reported yet) is OB Legacy - any others in the pack that had problems previously have already been fixed.

A couple of times I've thought that the instruments were out of tune. Turns out that I had mistaken the tuning knob in Falcon for the volume knob (because that's where it's located in UVI Workstation)mcbpete wrote:The only thing that's new (so could potentially have tuning issues - though nothing has been reported yet) is OB Legacy - any others in the pack that had problems previously have already been fixed.
