Ok I got it now. I had an extra .ini file that was messing things up. In case anyone needs to know for Diodow it's: User /User Name / AppData / Local / Diodow / Diodow.ini

Thanks for the help, I've got some things to do this morning but hopefully I'll be back later with a Teksonik version GUI. Should be interesting to see what color combos people come up with. I like ED's Orange but think I'll go for more muted blues and greys. Easier on my eyes and that should make the interface much more pleasant to use and the flat sliders make a huge difference......back later.

Should there be anyhting anything else in the ini.file except the colour code ?

Yes, [Editor] as the first line, as I said in a previous post.

I just copy /pasted the tet block ..so everything is in there no luck
Tried teksonik explanation ..no luck ..
Maybe it's vista related

You're missing square parentheses. It needs to look like this:

I did
you would set FlatSliders=1.
I added the line , no luck .
Or would it require a new ini.file ?
Could you paste the whole block +flat sliders ,

Everything goes in one .ini file. Just make sure everything is below [Editor] line
