How will smart software (artificial intelligence) influence the perception and creation of music?

I agree, you seem to have been created by accident. Others though seem to have been created by design.
Anyone who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

given all my flaws, if it had been by design, id be kicking that designers ass from here to the singularity.Aloysius wrote:I agree, you seem to have been created by accident. Others though seem to have been created by design.

Maybe Musk’s singularity project will produce virtual soldiers willing to infiltrate the AI and shut it down from the inside. Maybe Musk will find the “chosen one”. All I know is we are going to ride the lightening at this point. It’s not like you are going to flip the switch on google and shut it down. It’s too late... and you already handed yourselves over to the robot overlords.. good luck with that.vurt wrote:the guy put a car in space!Teksonik wrote:https://www.independent.co.uk/life-styl ... 74821.html

anyway, you should be more worried about the magnetite nano bots that the satanist illuminati cabal have been adding to all your foodstuffs and the chemtrails that are right now reprogramming your neural pathways.
if you put a really strong magnet under your hat, this should wipe their memory and they will cease functioning and they will eventually be passed out of your system in the natural way...

Bunch of sadistic FX.vurt wrote:if i get a sex bot that can also make a decent coffee, then i for one will welcome my robot dominatrix.Dasheesh wrote:Maybe Musk’s singularity project will produce virtual soldiers willing to infiltrate the AI and shut it down from the inside. At this point one of you smart young whippersnappers needs to photoshop Elon Musk with Nemo for me, because that’s the vision I’m getting.

Heh, Nanotechnology is about the most interesting tech coming up the pipe imho. Tremendous implications, you will be able to buy a toaster that makes toast out of the air, and that’s about the least interesting application, the end of death likely being at the other end of the spectrum.

It isn't. At all. It takes me having an idea and figuring out how to achieve it with instruments (and perhaps other noise). There is no input from the machine of any kind in this process. It's an instrument and it takes me knowing what to do with it, or not. Full_stop.Dasheesh wrote:And for goodness sakes. If you don’t think computers are already making your music... smh. This is going to piss me off.

That is every bit as boring an idea to me. It's plainly stupid.pekbro wrote:Heh, Nanotechnology is about the most interesting tech coming up the pipe imho. "An artificial intelligence program just annihilated its human competition at a world championship video game contest.
The A.I. win stunned the gaming community, because bots are generally considered inferior to expert human players".

Next they come for musicians.......
