So how's everyone liking it?

I think it sounds amazing myself. Definitely has that boutique UBK vibe to it. It's not as
versatile in sound and function as UVI plate, but the Kush dynamics and saturation added
to the Relab plate algorithms make for a sexy sounding plate reverb, although it will
tax your cpu quite a bit.
Anyway, boutique is a good way to look at it imho. Certainly one could easily get by with
another of many plate reverbs out there. However, that Kush magic is definitely worth considering.

Anybody compare to Rare Signals Transatlantic Plate? I’ve got till the end of day to demo UVI Plate Transatlantic Plate and Kush and I’m still at school.

Transatlantic Plate is a very nice IR reverb as well. The Kush reverb is a completely different
thing though. Typical plate emu reverb is not whats going on with the Kush Gold Plate, much
like Deflector is not a typical distressor emulation. Kush Gold Plate is a UBK 'treatment'
of a vintage plate reverb rather than an effort to capture the original sound, imho.

transatlantic is nothing short of sectacular. Cannot go wrong with it imo.perpetual3 wrote: Thu Nov 01, 2018 9:45 pm Anybody compare to Rare Signals Transatlantic Plate? I’ve got till the end of day to demo UVI Plate Transatlantic Plate and Kush and I’m still at school.
uvi is great for sound design and quite capable for vocals, drums
goldplate has a sexy promo video but the sound is meh, again imo.

Ended up getting Transatlantic Plate. Next, I’m demoing Eventide SP2016 and waiting on Goodhertz Megaverb, since every plugin they make is optimized for perfect automation.

On a related note to my REDDI post, I demoed this. Sounds great, but way too much CPU use. More than anything else I own.

For me GoldPlate doesn't use as much CPU as Transatlantic Plate. I have GoldPlate as part of the Relab subscription - while I don't find it essential, it's a great character 'verb.reggie1979 wrote: Sat Jan 12, 2019 2:03 am On a related note to my REDDI post, I demoed this. Great sounding and a CPU hungry one (18% per instance without oversampling; 32% per instance with oversampling)
Again, great sounding...
