Yes, people which are restricted in use of their arms, hands f.e.
After setting such a thing up it can really help.
For the general use it might be not as useful but i still see some benefits here.

For people with physical disabilities, absolutely. however, I was referring to people who do have access to normal modes of input. What benefits would you expect in such cases?

p.s. Nothing wrong with new-tech, unless it's a step-back from the old-tech. I bet I could crack out a couple of key-commands, macros etc., before you've even managed a "Hey, Siri!..." :shrug:
