I’m assuming you have Samplr?

Understood, Dasheesh.Dasheesh wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:30 am @goldenanalog
i have owned a lot of yonac gear, and have magellan and several others on my iphone to putz around on, but i'm a little upset i purchased his drum machine many years ago and he never kept up with it. also, doesn't version 2 have in app purchases? i'm not playing around with that. animoog got deleted when i saw they went that way .
The only in app purchases to date are (3) 2 dollar sound sets - it also migrates previously purchased M1 sound sets into M2 (ie the first version of magellan had in app sound sets for sale as well).
I don't think any of them are about functionality - just sounds. And you could just elect not to buy.

so samplr is on the long list. its flipping awesome. I can spend as much as i need to, but i started digging, and i saw i could get the new 4 pockets digistix (giest for ios), and spacecraft granular for 20$, so i kind of jumped on it. I got my eye on samplr when i get board tho. that's a dope app.

And some infos about Beepstreet Drambo.
Its a bit like a Nord Modular and more.
You can have several polyphonic (and stereo in the signal path, even stereo LFO’s) tracks with each having its own sequencer lane with parameter locks, midi out, FX version etc.

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole with modular on iPad, check out Audulus

I do not like it really. This is a modular which works much better on a laptop or desktop for me.Forgotten wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 4:26 am If you really want to go down the rabbit hole with modular on iPad, check out Audulus

Then i prefer the more analog sounding side of modulars. The sound of Audulus is not quite there for me. Drambo might be the only modular which is fun for me on iOS and it might be also my new favorite in general. I doubt it will beat P900 in pure raw power of the sound but it is more versatile in general. I do not need 1000 modules where half of them sounds the same.
But then things like this will only happen on iPads:

Sorry if you've already been asked this but do you hold these beliefs post iPadOS?Battle Cat wrote: Wed Mar 11, 2020 2:49 am as an alternative perspective,
Ive been hearing "its the future" for 10 years now. iOS is not new, nor the future, its a side show at best.
The allure is the price, but that in itself is a conundrum, raise the prices and it stops being so attractive. But I must say, its been a big reason for the drop off of Virtual instrument prices. Why pay $130 for something you can buy for $13? The answer is telling.
I do like ipads but not the culture.

New iPads are just announced today...
https://www.apple.com/ipad/
I´m indeed thinking about to replace my "next" macbook pro and buy one of these maxed out. It does almost everything my macbook pro does for music, might be even faster now, is actually even more versatile in terms of input and some other things and also costs much less. Software is mainly more cheap as well.
So i def. will stop buying plug-ins and will think about it for a while.
Desktop/notebook land is getting stuck and boring compared to the immediate fun and jamming on an iPad. It lacks some tools but that is only a matter of time.

TC-11 is IMO the crown jewel of iPad synthesis and it has been for nearly a decade now. It's one of the few synths that doesn't try to replicate a traditional synth layout and is instead explicitly designed for touchscreen control. It's got a surprisingly simple synthesis engine, but the number of modulation sources is staggering: distance from first touch, average distance between all touches, time since last touch, the speed a touch is moving, the direction the iPad itself is facing... there are hundreds. It's like a hyper version of FXpansion's already ridiculously overpowered Transmod modulation system. The companion app TC-Data will also let you apply all this crazy modulation to any synth you own. The demo below mostly shows the noisy side of it, but it can be very pretty and 'musical' if you program it that way. All the graphics you see are related to the modulation sources in play. They're not just eye candy (although they do look really nice)Dasheesh wrote: Thu Mar 12, 2020 1:35 am that's it, i'm geeking tonight. i'm ready to splurge like a big spender. say...15-20 dollars$
