When they do research they will see more users using the arrangement view anyway. If your going to do Atom, you won't get anything just showing somebody just playing loops from a pad controller. Scratchpad is good, but not the same. They definitely appear to cater more towards record engineers and producers, but the addition of features and workflows geared towards EDM/Loop based producers in recent versions (and release on Splice) makes me think something like clip launching is not farfetched. I think they're absolutely trying to capture a slice of the market Ableton/FL serves in addition to their current audience (which isn't a bad thing)
You can't force Studio One to be something that it's not. That's the problem when users switch to different DAW's.

Automation clips would also be pretty useful. Internal midi routing system would be nice. Those are the only two features that I really want. I also think with version 5, they might update the GUI of their older internal plugins to keep up with the current sleek S1 GUI.

I wish;
Capture Midi
Better Time Stretch esp for drums(Slice Mode) Currently the transients get really bad and inconsistent with a couple of BPM change
Tape style Time Stretch
Automation Clips
Realtime Quantize/Groove
Impact XT with own browser
More options for event colors
External Instrument Track
Double Click to load Instrument Presets,Patches,Music Loops
List Editors for Tempo, Markers etc
Move/Quantize Midi CC with Notes
Arrangement Playlist
Better CPU usage ( Same plugins work better in Logic using less CPU)

So you've seen yesterdays desperate, reactive, embarrassing title change for the vanity thread, then?gentleclockdivider wrote: Thu Apr 23, 2020 4:02 pm This thread is fastly becoming the Nr.1 resource for the upcoming stu.one .V5

Like in Cubase you where you create alternative structure/chains, decide how many times you want each part to repeat etc in the list by reordering them without changing it in the main arrangement. And you can audition in that order. Then you can commit the one you like and it changes the main arrangement after that. I think only way to do it in Studio One is create a list in new Scratch Pad which I find a little clunky to work with.antic604 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 6:42 amHow is that different from Arranger Track?

Yes I use it for now. It is really good. Hope at least it keeps working with the new version.antic604 wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 6:40 amThis extension works very well:

Oh, right! I'm aware of it but you said "playlist" (singuar), so I thought you just meant that.andypryce wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 8:29 amLike in Cubase you where you create alternative structure/chains, decide how many times you want each part to repeat etc in the list by reordering them without changing it in the main arrangement.
A Cubase-like feature would be very useful indeed!

I never liked the Cubase arranger personally, I just found I had more control and it was quicker to just cut and paste sections in and make a few tweaks so everything is a bit different as I went along. Messing around with the arranger, labelling everything in repeating 'blocks' and then flattening it seemed to take longer for me and the added transport controls and inspector and parts naming etc just adds layers of what are to me unnecessary complexity.
Scratch pad is good enough for me, or a proper 'clip launcher' if you realy want to jam your composition.

I must be in the minority here , but I almost never use the dedicated automation lanes .SeeingInMidi wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 12:07 am Automation clips would also be pretty useful. INstead I create a new midi lane and record the parameter into the new clip , which kinda acts like an automation clip ( only works for instruments )
