A fun synth. Different from Arturia's. Reasonable to have both.

Nope. Idea is reset both oscillators on note on, but to have them freely beating against each other after initial reset. Ideally, reset phase for both oscillators should be adjustable per voice via trimmers.

Sounds great so far and especially the per voice editing is the main thing.
I am already covered with such sounds but it is a great synth and if i had not already too much i would buy it for sure. Well, maybe i still will do for pads and strings where it could add some interesting flavor with the voice editing.
For brass, bass and keys it has not quite the saturation and bite i like but still good for sure.
The FX section is nice to have but as with The Legend i find them not the best choice for an analog emulation and the FX has not such a character to pronounce the raw sound in a way i would use them much, so i mainly bypass them. I know, sound odd to some but that is what i think.
Again, this is a great sounding solid synth and i bet a wonderful synth for those who want a great OB-Xa emulation. So not a no-brainer for the price yet for me but i think this is a winner anyway and many people will have fun with this.
Dune 3 still stays as my favorite Synapse synth.

Question RE SPREAD:
For SPREAD to work, do we need to have previously adjusted the pan trimmers in each voice?
The reason I ask SPREAD does not seem to do much on its own.
But, if I set each pan trimmer to the extremes in each voice in alternate opposite directions, it seems to work as intended.

SPREAD parameter works best when the PAN trimmers are adjusted alternately to far left and right (Init patch is set up like that).

Thanks for the reply. If SPREAD is set to 0 and all the PAN trimmers are set to opposite extremes, is any voice panning happening? From what I can tell, the answer is no, which is what I would expect/want.Yorrrrrr wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:57 pm SPREAD works best when the PAN trimmers are adjusted alternatively to far left and right (Init patch is set up like that).
FWIW: When I select the init patch, the PAN trimmers are set to the middle.

If SPREAD is set to 0 and all the PAN trimmers are set to opposite extremes, there would be no panning at all. On the other hand, if SPREAD is set to 10, there is total left and right panning alternately per voice.
I meant the Init patches in the patches browser menu.

With the 4 Init patches found in the "Init Patch" folder at the browser panning is set to left and right.jbone1313 wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:59 pmThanks for the reply. reset at diff phase or same phase? I'm not sure i get what you're askingurosh wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:51 pmNope. you want osc1+2 in MM, presumably to set to same phase to save a slot?

correct, each voice has its own pan settingjbone1313 wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 7:55 pm Question RE SPREAD:

best used in unison mode for wide sounds, otherwise if used in normal usage, you will get panning on each note pressed, which will sound odd (unless that is the desired effect)

Not missing anything, the mod matrix has 6 slots for modulation entries.

Oh yes, that's correct.Hadrondrift wrote: Sat Jun 20, 2020 8:13 pmNot missing anything, the mod matrix has 6 slots for modulation entries.
