In this case lower quality is really lower quality. It was a good decision.

An absolutely insane price for an 'update' - looks like I'm waiting for the next half price sale then (and even then I'll have to think hard to see if I can justify it)bungle wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:00 pmWait, what?lalo wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:53 pm Well, "My Update" price from KU12 Collectors Edition to KU13 Collectors Edition is 499€ ... totally crazygiven the huge amount of investments on NI stuff since i'm NI customer...

I disagree. Guitar rig 5 is evidence of that. Just with a tiny GUI.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:40 pm In this case lower quality is really lower quality. It was a good decision.

Yeah really. Plus i already own Raum and the Crush Pack 'cause i bought them separately. Pricing scheme is really absurd. Like the one by Arturia i must admit. I waited a full year before updating to V7 from V6 when a more "human" price with a sale was proposed.

Guitar Rig 5 is 10 years old, CPUs have progressed since then. Anyways you can still use GR5 if you need non-HQ mode. GR6 from this point on is about quality first.the.new.me wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:59 pmI disagree. Guitar rig 5 is evidence of that. You can sell your seperately bought licenses in the Sell and Buy section.lalo wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:00 pmMikeCallon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:48 pmAn absolutely insane price for an 'update' - looks like I'm waiting for the next half price sale then (and even then I'll have to think hard to see if I can justify it)bungle wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:00 pmWait, what?lalo wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 3:53 pm Well, "My Update" price from KU12 Collectors Edition to KU13 Collectors Edition is 499€ ... totally crazygiven the huge amount of investments on NI stuff since i'm NI customer...

The transfer process of NI is (compared to other players) quite customer friendly.

Wouldn't be easier that NI take account of the User License profile? Every license i own is in the NI database and they should find a way to take account of this...come onCalenberger wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:03 pm

as i have learned one can easily buy every single product from the bundles itself , if the package price is too high/to much stuff not needed. well, its 100x the price of the packages, but hey you have the choice...the 400eu price, for an upgrade and a few more of whatever fits their policy perfectly. i wouldnt say a damn thing if they had a fully fledged daw in that portfolio. or get a sub plan running for a decent price...
i dont even get it who the these prices are catering for? the full metal noobs with nothing else than a will to make music and a comp and maybe a dozen freeware synths and effects? maybe all the software hoarders desperately tryin to catch something to boost their career? i dont know. maybe the usual kvr reader
but ok ni, nice hardware thou...

Losing backward sound compatibility is never a good decision imo.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:40 pm In this case lower quality is really lower quality. It was a good decision.

Pretty common to make things cheaper when you buy in a bunch.anttimaatteri wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:17 pm as i have learned one can easily buy every single product from the bundles itself , if the package price is too high/to much stuff not needed. well, its 100x the price of the packages, but hey you have the choice...the 400eu price, for an upgrade and a few more of whatever fits their policy perfectly. i wouldnt say a damn thing if they had a fully fledged daw in that portfolio. or get a sub plan running for a decent price...

Well GR6 doesn't overwrite GR5, so you can still use GR5 to open old projects if need be.mabian wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:18 pmLosing backward sound compatibility is never a good decision imo.EvilDragon wrote: Tue Sep 01, 2020 4:40 pm In this case lower quality is really lower quality.
