I assume this is only happening to me?
Mac install went fine, but PC (Ik PM gives me an Error 201).

Edit: hopefully this will help someone else one day.
I had forgotten I had changed the MS Defender setting to do Ransomware protection. So it was protecting my Documents folder.
Turning it off and all is well again.

that background texture is really low resolution :) looks kinda weird when modules are hi-res and background low res :D

I might be in the difference here vs a lot of folks on KVR, but I actually like most of IKs stuff. (However, ST4 still upsets me 😡)

I dont view this as the FX from T-Racks or Amplitube in a different form. I view this as the fx from ST4 & Syntronik in it's own plugin. When Im making music, I usually try to get the tone of my instruments to match and my IK instruments always have the best sounds I look for initially. Trying to match anything from these instruments is sometimes annoying (like wanting IK sound but Kontakt flexibility). Using T-Racks is kind of a let down sometimes because it doesnt have exactly everything & sometimes Amplitube is too heavy handed with lots of clicking. This feels like it could be a good go between.

Not too many controls (on purpose... because these lunchbox effects are focused on what they add sonically vs their depth of manipulation), presets and a wide array is a good way to get things started.

For those stuck on what is included, besides the new effects dont forget the AM & FM modulators & Tone Control. These are simple but very effective modules that are not included in TR5 or Amplitube. These can give your music a lot more versatility as well. That being said, I really wish there was a Gate module as someone mentioned earlier in this thread.

Will I buy it? Im not sure yet & that's just mostly Ive building up my Waves plugins & trying to learn more the rest of the VSTs I have and their sonic limits. The price at $100 is kind of steep considering I have a buttload of IK effects & its almost like repaying for them... BUT... being in a different form factor & the amount of plugins could persuade me. Like has been said... $50 would be a better price range. Even $70. But still I good product nonetheless.
I read more than post = I listen more than I talk

I don’t have any TR or AT effects (other than a handful of freebies), so this is tempting to me, especially at the $99 price.

Question for Peter, if you can answer- are there additional modules on the roadmap, and if so, will they be separate purchases? I understand if you can’t discuss future plans, but you might just as easily be in a position to say that yes, expanding this product is definitely on the drawing board.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Waiting for the plugin doctors to bitch about cramping...

I'd like to try the demo, but for some reason nothing happens when I click on Try in the Product Manager.

Hello Peter

Right words! A nice workflow in your new plugin. After the sound - this is always the second criterion for a plugin for me! I think this is well done!

I have seen that MixBox has no internal routing and no modulation possibilities.

But I'm surprised that there is no self-ducking on reverb and delay like in your all new space delay. Is that feature planned for a future release? I think this is necessary to mix a whole channel „in the box“ - and that's the goal, isn't it?

Second question: What is the internal sample rate in MixBox?

At least, I'm sorry that I beat you to the punch with the opening of this threat right before you ;)

Thanks Alexander

FWIW I'm ok with the lack of complicated routing and modulation options; it's more important that the plugin is simple to use and plays well with the DAW's routing and modulation. Less hidden complexity makes it easier to understand and tweak the presets.

It's hard to have complex routing with a clean interface, everything visible and easily understandable.

This is basically FX section of SampleTank as a separate plugin, with a couple of additional bells and whistles. i love the FX section in ST4 because it is so easy and effective, but if i'm going for separate plugins, i'll probably go full versions of things i'm used to, rather than cut down versions of things i already own. so, not for me.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I didn't realise how literally you meant it.

I really don't have any information (public or not) about additional modules. We would likely have to see how MixBox does and how it should evolve as it is a new separate plugin so slightly different than how I'd say "obviously there will be more!" for the flagships unfortunately.

Since you don't have any of the TR or AT versions of some of these which are really great parts of MixBox (in my personal use cases I would consider AT/TR based modules the "core" of a rack and then the modulation and other more creative FX the layer of icing even if used in separate racks to recall, just more in the context of their functionality - though this might vary based on whether it is a vocal, guitar, drum, bass, percussion, synth, etc chain anyway) I'd suggest demoing MixBox to see if the workflow also suits you. Realtime manipulation and automation are great, dragging and dropping is always something I enjoy, and the recalling of racks is nice to have handy.
