(because I know not everyone is as rigorous as me about synths, so a "synth from google drive" is OK for them)
Anybody knows what happened to Ronan Fed? Everything has been deleted

If you want to be sure of support, then I recommend using plugins of your own production because even with larger companies you can't be sure that they won't disappear from the market (like Camel Audio or Linplug, Wizoo and other...).dune_rave wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 6:13 am Anyway, a synth that is just a download from a google drive, is not a service/support.
You don't pay a buck, but if after the next windows update it stops working what can you do?
This means you no longer get support for plugins that are no longer available (for example, VST Alchemy is no longer for Windows, only for Mac)

Ronan Fed's synths are constantly featured in the German BEAT magazine.dune_rave wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 6:13 am Anyway, a synth that is just a download from a google drive ...
What about your YT channel? Did they take notice at all? I doubt it.

I have received enough support from Camel Audio through the years they were existing. So that was OK. If I have any problem with this Pneuma synth, who will support?Artvera wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 1:08 pmIf you want to be sure of support, then I recommend using plugins of your own production because even with larger companies you can't be sure that they won't disappear from the market (like Camel Audio or Linplug, Wizoo and other...).dune_rave wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 6:13 am Anyway, a synth that is just a download from a google drive, is not a service/support.

Hm, maybe this forum of KVRAudio...
Here's my first problem:
The sound just stops randomly.
My environment: Win11, Fl Studio 21.2.

Did you uninstall all the plugins from Camel Audio when they switched to Mac?dune_rave wrote: Tue Jan 09, 2024 5:51 am I have received enough support from Camel Audio through the years they were existing. So that was OK.
Who do you turn to now if you find a problem with their plugins?
From Pneuma Pro manual:dune_rave wrote: Tue Jan 09, 2024 5:51 am If I have any problem with this Pneuma synth, who will support?

Nice synth, very generous. Thank you, Ronan Fed.
The solution (as far as there is one)?
Save stems.
After all, any service/support can go out of business, at any time.
A legitimate concern.dune_rave wrote: Mon Jan 08, 2024 6:13 am Anyway, a synth that is just a download from a google drive, is not a service/support.

So in one hand, I appreciate this synth and like its sound, but on the other hand I will uninstall it, because there are some synths I paid for, and get support for those real quickly.

and keep a "dinosaur machine" - locked out of updates beyond a certain point so it can run old stuff.
fit it with a midi/audio interface or network it so you can use it like a synth module. good to go.

I didn't see many vst devs who not only share their work with the community, but openly refuse any donations.
Awesome plugins from and awesome human being. Glad to see him back!

I don't think you need to worry about windows updates for a flowstone plugin as I still use synthmaker plugins on win 11.
But compatibility in a daw host might come up, a general flowstone query might be useful.

I have UI issues with old ones made in Synthmaker. I hope this doesn't eventually happen with Flowstone. Pneuma sounds great and I'd love to make some presets.

From a practical point of view, I think it's better to refuse donations if you don't want to provide support because people will expect long-term support. Some people even expect support for 100% free software. I've had people expecting me to add features after a small donation. It's treated as a form of purchase for a lot of people.andy4trance wrote: Wed Jan 10, 2024 9:10 pm I didn't see many vst devs who not only share their work with the community, but openly refuse any donations.

I tried it last night and if he would make some minor tweaks this could sound like an Access Virus C. (because it already does)
I wish you could resize the UI, but I understand Synthedit so the UI is a wonder to begin with. I wish you could use some of those oscillator waves for the LFOs. (Those waves look awfully familiar) I wish you could use the filters in Serial or Parallel. And I wish there were more choices in the Mod Matrix. Other than that a solid synth with a great sound.
