Hi Bruno,
I've got a question on the GUI size.
Will RawPrime, like LittleOne or ZeroBox, only come in two sizes, i. e., 1x and 2x?
If so, could you please add a 1.5 version?
Drawing on my experience with LittleOne and ZeroBox, I can tell that 1x is too small and 2x is too big.
Could you also finally add a 1.5 option to LittleOne and ZeroBox, please? That would be awesome.
Looking forward to RawPrime.

It's a good point, I was about to add that feature but I at first have something to fix in the non-integer scaling process.
Please just some patience, loads of things to do...

Ok, let's finally start a quick RawPrime show and tell.
This will let me explain the main features of the synthesizer and its user interface - while anyone else will be able to evaluate if it is something interesting and worth to be considered. Let's start from the basics.
RawPrime is a 4 voice monophonic / polyphonic / unison performance synthesizer. It is built on the voice modeling technology / approach (as for all other XA devices) - so, no virtual instances but 4 separate, independent synthesizers are simulated. Thus, each voice can be detuned as happens in hardware gears.

SPR [MIN...MAX] : Set the tuning spread amount for the four independent synth voices.
MODE [MON...UNS...PLY] : Set the voice mode : monophonic (MON), four voices unison (UNS) or polyphonic (PLY).
GLD [MIN...MAX] : Set the glide / portamento amount.
BND [0...+12sem] : Set the pitch bending amount (used by the pitch bender wheel).

Can’t wait for this thing !
For some reason, the sound sometimes reminds me a lot of phase distorsion synths. Extremely interesting sound, alive, undatable... I think I’ll use it a lot.

Well, after weeks spent designing presets on RawPrime, I noticed its sound reminds (for some aspects) phase modulation / phase distortion synths and (even more) the sound from early samplers - also if RawPrime sound generation has nothing to do with each of them.
RawPrime is far easier to use than phase modulation, phase distortion synths and do not require a set of samples like samplers or romplers.
I also like the idea of it being built as a cheap device with loads of colorations due to its components' imperfections. History often showed off how something expressly built to be low-cost (or very cost-effective) may become a "cult" device on the long term. I hope other peeople will find it unique too !

Maybe it’s just me, but while listening to the demos I was thinking "I would add a bit of detuned vibe/chorus also on this patch"... For me most presets lack a tiny bit of detuned fatness. It could be only my liking but I wanted to let you know anyway while you’re developing it, you’re free to do what you want from this information.
Well anyway, no matter what, I’m already in love with its sound.

Get Tritik's Echorus. It is IMHO the best cheap chorus plugin! And it comes with a free simple delay.DJErmac wrote: Tue Jan 16, 2024 12:15 am Maybe it’s just me, but while listening to the demos I was thinking "I would add a bit of detuned vibe/chorus also on this patch"... Yes, as a matter of tastes, you can always add more chorus if you wish.
RawPrime does include the CHOR-S insert fx processor (the same chorus you find in ZeroBox and LittleOne racks, the "core" algorithm in ModFlorus).
Also - in order to make it fatter - you can detune the oscillators (Spoiler! take a look at the bottom of this thread) and also detune the 4-voices spread when in Unison mode. Here's a simple example of unison preset "Jumper" from "Mirror Freqs" addon Expansion :
https://soundcloud.com/xhunaudiorawprim ... qs-library
Or just chain 5 or 6 additional choruses if you're really insatiable...
As "spoilered" above, RawPrime features two hybrid generators / oscillators and a white noise source. The Mixer section features a volume / amplitude control for oscillator 1, for oscillator 2 and for the white noise generator.

OSC1 LEVEL [MIN...MAX] : Set the output amplitude of oscillator 1.
OSC2 LEVEL [MIN...MAX] : Set the output amplitude of oscillator 2.
NOISE [MIN...MAX] : Set the output amplitude of the white noise generator.

If you're considering adding more scaling options, then may I also request a larger 3x scaled version, so that the Xhun Audio plugins are also easier to view on modern UHD 4K displays also?xhunaudio wrote: Sun Jan 14, 2024 8:36 pmIt's a good point, I was about to add that feature but I at first have something to fix in the non-integer scaling process.

No rush. But when you have time to expand upon the current scaling options.
For example, see the following 2x scaled version of Little One on a 4K UHD display (3840 x 2160 px), which could benefit from being a bit larger in size.

Ok - no problem, since 3x is an integer scaling factor.
It has not been done yet because a 3x GUI (3000 px wide) is a very very big one - not a priority, but it has to be done at some point...

What's happening on the guitar side of things? I heard IronAxe was still being developed. This synth sounds great though, and as funds permit I may add it to my toolbox.

IronAxe ver 2.x : on the DSP side, the improved strings model was almost complete. As well as for extended cross-platform compatibility, it will be completed and released after a IDE upgrade, which will be a very important change.

Definitely some CZ101/TX81Z vibes from RawPrime. I actually had a DX7 with an aliasing problem and it was much less pleasant than this.
