HI
Oh ttoz - you fell for the same trick as me!
Well not trick - this is good vfm, but you get what you pay for - this was installed and uninstalled on the same day - it looks kinda attractive to EX-Logic users until your up close and personal.
Be nice if Magix just put Logic V5.9 out and have done with it.
Flipper.

Was this Magix Music Studio? Are the audio and Midi portions still completely different apps? If so, why are you bothering? I was ticked off when I bought an earlier version of Music Studio and it wasn't clear on the CD that they were two independent applications. I'll never go that way again.

yes music studio has two programs. Audio studio is the harddisk recording prog and MIDI studio the sequencer. However they work together. The sequencing part is not a big of a deal, coop version of logic, the audio studio is the heart of it and is a smaller version of samplitude. I think for that $ you get a lot.rockstar_not wrote:Was this Magix Music Studio? Are the audio and Midi portions still completely different apps? If so, why are you bothering? Hmmm ... most companies got here and there a lashing.
Don't draw fast conclusions on individual painful cases too fast and when you attack them " publicly " warn them so that they can respond if they are customer responsive / caring provided the right person got the info ...
I bought Samp8 some time ago so I can access the forums and the guys are definitely here.

Nuisances- we did warn them. I invited them to this thread so they could shake hands.
I love 'em for taking us up on the offer. I haven't bought a magix product since music studio 2, maybe it's time to give them another chance. still, i wish the audio and midi aspects were joined.
I've seen sequoia do great things things to a film score recently. and fast. very sexy stuff.

daTron, glad to see you and your company working to resolve the situation with the goodly ttoz. I have just one irrelevant (and, I'll admit, truly pedantic) comment.
The word "eversion" means "the act or turning something inside out, or the condition of being turned inside out." Maybe putting a hyphen after the "e" -- "e-version" -- would avoid sounding too cruel? ;-)

No tears, please. It's a waste of good suffering...

Business is business. They are all in the business of of carefully deceiving you into thinking that you're getting something that you're not. They walk the line between legal and illegal as carefully as possible and occasionally, they get sloppy, as in the case of Magix, and make a mistake.ttoz wrote:Magix must be REALLY struggling if they wont refund a $40 purchase. It's not like I don't have a point or anything, or I am being an asshole or wanting a refund for the sake of it.
I realy hope this is a lesson and all you KVRers think twice before ever doing business with them.
Just reading the description of that product was enough to send up red flags. They way they described it screamed, "We're hiding some things that we don't want you to know until after you've bought it". The loss of 40 bucks is probably not the worst of it. Thankfully, it was only 40 bucks. Chalk it up as lesson learned that might spare you from being taken for a much larger sum.
