Keep waiting..all this time spent, you could have been messing with your snare sounds instead of arguing with me.

im not arguing at all. im at work right now, and I already only use my ears, i thought it would be a neat way to figure out mixes.

thanks

yeah, that was genuine and honest right?
well, yeah. based on the assumption that you were honest about your experience and that you were honestly taking shots at people for using metering tools, yeah it was really genuine and honest. you seem to be demanding we trust your expertise here, so i responded in kind. you can't have it both ways.

it's quite simple and obvious when you take your head out of your ass for a second

just ignore stash. he's irrational. he's defending a banal point that no one disagrees with (use your ears) and he's criticizing a point that no one has made (don't use your ears, use only your eyes).

My head is not in my ass, If you think it is for the advice I gave earlier, you are an idiot.

I am currently mixing a project for a singer on atlantic that was tragicaly killed. Please understand that when i CAN post it, I will, but I can't post things until they clear publishing, the artist oks it.etc. I would like to post these songs, because they are great, and I think you will like them. So have patience, and They will go up as soon as I am allowed to do so.

go ahead and make fun of that too if it makes you feel vindicated.

and yeah just ignore me..im so irrational, I get hired to do this while you sit at home and watch colors moving on a screen to figure out frequencies.

That is endgame there. Shows who I'm dealing with.

And Sorry there, Muff. No mixes here on this system. We use Glyph and remove everything after each session. Pretty standard stuff. Like I said, I will get some songsup when I can.Until then, obviously this has degraded to a juvenile level. Take care.

 why am i not surprised

have fun with your fake expertise, and your nonexistant mixes, and your basing people around for stupid reasons

at least i'm honest about who I am (hobbiest always looking to learn more and try new tools) and happily post my (admittedly crap) tunes

heh old story here, guys like you

endgame indeed, nowhere left to dodge to...

As I said, Stash was defending a banal point that no one disagrees with (use your ears) and he was criticizing a point that no one has made (don't use your ears, use only your eyes) - hence my reference to the 'straw man' argument tactic.

So let's all just have a group hug and chink glasses now and vow that should us hobbyists ever make it as professionals we won't spend our precious time on internet forums pouring scorn onto perfectly reasonable suggestions by misrepresenting them, but will instead positively share some of our hard-worn expertise enlightening the miserable, huddling masses of hobbyists so that they too can learn how to be like us. Looking forward to the mixing tutorial from stash. And I mean that. I want to improve and I will use whatever tools at my disposal to train my ears to better discriminate and understand what is going on sonically, be they visual tools or whatever. (And Nyquist isn't just a pretty EQ, it sounds great FWIW).
