Frank: So you're selling off your plugin because the company is named after a Led Zepplin song? Would it make any difference if you learned that the developer was devoutly religious in his own personal life? I'm not saying that he is, just pointing out that you might be reading a little too deeply into the imagined motivations of people you know nothing about.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

You did try,and you are correct, it's just a myth. LOL I knew this would get out of hand but, so did Jesus when he healed on the Sabbath. I think I will keep my Vroom Sorry to the atheist guy, I changed my mind, and I did not do this for the people who were automatically going to bring out their arsenal. I only did this one other time in my life on a forum, and there was this one guy who really was interested and really wanted to know more and then the whole thing got deleted. This thread won't get deleted because of...I don't know. anyway I'm laughing now at the whole thing. I'm keeping my Vroom and I hope this portion of this thread comes to a hault and I just might buy vvv who knows. It does sound good.TheoM wrote:

This thread is starting to drive me crazy!
Can we PLEASE leave religion out of KVR!? However people try to frame it, it IS TROLLING, it IS OFF-TOPIC and VERY ANNOYING for everyone trying to read about this plug-in.
Can I remind people of the KVR rules:
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=44705
1. Topics should be posted in the relevant forum...
There is no forum for religion here, it is certainly not in plug-in effects!
2. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users...
3. Posting of any material... deemed by a moderator to be... inciteful... inappropriate...

Informing me that when I die, if I don't share your belief system, i am going to suffer burning in a 'pod of fire' for eternity is NOT acceptable... Lets get back on topic and stay there. Now that I think of it. I've heard of people who were given a chance to view hell, and they say it is so dark that you can't see you hand in front of your face, but yet they could see the people burning in their pods of fire

The new Sanctuary algo is nice, Dark pad preset 50% wet and still in demo mode for now.

It is interesting to hear the piano through Sanctuary. Many digital reverbs (including the majority of the VintageVerb reverb modes) use randomized delay modulation. This produces a lush decay, but can cause pitch warbles on musical instruments with steady pitches, such as guitar and piano. You can hear these warbles in this recording of the Narcissus mode of ValhallaRoom:

Sanctuary was designed to have "detuned" modulation. I've used this in the past, but not as extensively as I did in Sanctuary. The results are a reverb that has a LOT of chorusing, but a fairly steady sense of pitch, even for longer decays. I don't like the sound of Sanctuary on acoustic guitar (too "produced" for my taste), but I really like the sound on clean electric guitar, and your piano example sounds great to my ears.
I should note that pitch warbles aren't necessarily a bad thing. At all. The original EMT250 had randomized modulation, as did the Lexicon 224, and all sorts of great ambient music was produced by playing piano through these reverbs. However, having a choice between randomized delay modulation and detuning modulation seems like a good idea, so ValhallaVintageVerb has both now (as well as the modulation used in Random Space, which has nothing to do with delay modulation).

actually the end of the world did happen... it is just some residual electromagnetic energy that thinks it is still there
